PILATES INSTRUCTOR

Tonight I passed a Pilate's certification course. You see I made the decision to teach a Pilate's class when I move back to Nevada in May. There is NO GYM THERE. And I have become very very fond of having a gym in my life. I love to workout and feel that the best and easiest way to do that is in a group setting at a gym class. My sister in law Annie Leavitt teaches a Zumba class 2 times a week. She was awesome in getting the ball rolling for fitness in our valley! There is an old gymnasium there that has been restored. They have a dance room that has mirrors. That is where I will be teaching my class. Hoping that the size of the class will allow me to stay in there. The truth is I have always secretly wanted to get into fitness and teach a class. But, just didn't see the point up here because there were plenty of instructors at the gym kicking my butt hard enough. Annie & I used to talk about starting up exercising in Logandale/Overton. Its pretty cool that we will both be doing different classes. Well, I am pretty stoked and Pilate's really is my favorite thing to do...so if you live in Moapa Valley be on the lookout for my class that will probably start in May!

Soothing Repetition

I am doing a photo project called Project 52. It is done through Jodi of MCP actions. Any photographer can do it, they give you a different assignment weekly for the whole year. This weeks: Soothing Repetition, I was trying to come up with something creative and thought of things that sooth me. So, I grabbed my model named Evelyn & told her what to do. I thought it turned out really neat. Children really have a way of making you see things the way you should. I am so grateful for how soothing this book is to me in my life, and repetition is key to finding happiness. I am so glad I have a copy of it to read it when ever I choose to:)

Fittness & Photography

I came to the conclusion today that I have 2 loves (besides my hubby and kiddos of coarse, they come first)Fitness & Photography. I love working out and feeling fit. And I love photography and snapping pics, & improving all the time. Today I was in Sports Authority in the University Mall picking up some workout pants for Trent. I will admit I was like a kid in a candy store there. I wanted every piece of workout clothing and equipment they had. I get the same giddy feeling in a camera shop store. I WANT IT ALL AND I WANT IT NOW!! But everything is always improving with technology and every time I get a new camera I think ya this will hold me off for about 5 years...and then WHAM THEY HAVE SOMETHING ELSE TO TEMPT ME WITH. Just when I save up to get the latest editing software BAM. WHY IS EVERYTHING IN LIFE SO DANG EXPENSIVE?? In our future house that we will be building I want a huge workout room and a huge studio. Wouldn't that be dreamy. Let's hope I can talk Trent into it;)

I Just Feel Bad.

The Latest Not Fun Stuff:
1) Evelyn is getting her back molars in and can barely eat anything. And started to cry today when she ate marshmallows, that is how tender they are. She asks for medicine about every hour and just wants to be held all day.
2) Lyla is also teething and her gums on the bottom are swollen. They play the guessing game with me, and I am always trying to figure out when they will really come through.
3) Lyla has a crazy ingrown toenail infection going on. I noticed a loose piece of skin about a week ago. I carefully pulled it off and all heck broke lose. I asked the doc about it the other day. He said it should be fine, try to pull the skin back and pull it out, and put ointment on it. Well, today Trent and I looked at it and it was full of puss, yep, so Trent got the puss out and it seems to be doing better now. Lyla doesn't seem to even notice it.
4) Lyla also can't stop pooping and has gotten a bad rash because of it. Not the runs or anything, just lots and sitting in her diaper. She cried every time I put rash cream on it today. And after her bath she was howling in pain. Literally.
5) Trent was told the other day that Autozone was to have new store hours. As in closing at 10pm instead of 11pm. Which means he would get home at 11:30. He was so happy to hear this news. See, when he first started to work at Autozone in Orem they closed at 9:00....9 freakin o'clock!! Then it went to 10....then to 11!! Well, today Trent was informed that his store is the only store that won't be changing to the 10 o'clock time...but everyone else will.. REDICULOUS!! & LAME
*Lets just say it has been a rough couple of days. As a mother & wife I wish I could fix so many more things than what I am capable of actually fixing...you know!!

6 Months & Counting:

Our little Lyla is getting to be so big. She rolls over constantly, and loves to sit up. Evelyn makes her laugh all day long. And she is super ticklish and its the cutest thing ever. She also loves solid food, but not as much as nursing. She also can't get enough of Baby Einstein Videos.
Her 6 Month Stats: Weight- 18.8 lbs. 92 percentile
Height- 27 in. 88 percentile

ATE IT....

I have been more of a klutz than ever lately. It's like my balance is all off. Like I am prego or something.....which I am most definitely NOT. Last night I was attending a PUMP class at the gym. I love pump class. There was only 9 girls in this one, plus the teacher. So, the teacher Wendy (my friend) thought it would be fun to do some cardio drills throughout the whole class. I thought it was nice to change things up. We were in a circle facing each other and doing drills. One was a squat type run and we were trying to catch the person in front of us....well. The person in front of me was Wendy. She was going fast so I went fast. I don't know how this happened but next thing I know. I am on the ground looking up at everyone. Yep, I fell..but not just fell, we are talking totally ATE IT BIT TIME! Yesiree bob it was rough. It was pretty embarrassing....and I wanted to walk out of the class right then and there. But, still wanted to get a good workout ya know. Well, all I could do was make fun of myself to make myself even want to stay. And try to blow it off. One thing is for sure, if someone else would have fallen like that I would have laughed pretty hard, Wendy didn't even see it. Luckily I don't know any of those peeps personally. That was a night to remember at the gym for sure.

A M B I T I O N

If there is one word to describe my husband Trent it is Ambitious. I really like that he doesn't just sit on his duff and watch TV all day. He is such a go getter, getter done type of a guy. He wants something done, and boy does he get it done. This is him with his latest project his 1967 Mustang. He has been cutting it to shreds...piece by piece. I don't know how he does it, and manages to get the thing back together in one piece. Looking fabulous mind you. He is a pretty smart guy, with all the measurements and calculating that goes into doing something like this. Way to go Trent, your ambition drive is one of my favorite qualities about you!! Keep it up honey, look forward to what you will be capable of doing in the future:)Love you so much Trent:)

BEEEAUTIFUL!!

Today was a ho-hum lazy day inside because it is too cold to go outside. So, I got out my camera and had some fun. Gosh I do enjoy photographing my darling girlies:)

Her Piget....

I am doing a photo project for the 2011 year. From this wonderful photography named Jodi, she gives out a different assignment every week. This weeks assignment was something you see around your house. You take the photograph and everyone critiques it. So, I was stoked about it. I always need opinions & to improve. So, today I got out my camera right after Lyla woke up from her nap. She had her Piglet (Piget to Evelyn)and I set it by her, she grabbed it and cuddled it so cute. We find her like this a lot after her naps. She loves this guy?? Wait it is a guy pig right? Makes no sense to me. Every time Evelyn knows she is awake she races in her room with me and sees her with her Piglet and says "She loves her Piget". It's basically adorable!! YES, SHE DOES LOVE IT!! So, I took this one and turned it in for critique today. I just adore her, she is such a sweetheart:)

Christmas Vacation: Christmas Day Fun

WE STAYED IN LOGANDALE ALMOST 3 WEEKS. FOR THE FIRST WEEK WE WERE AT GRANDMA & GRANDPA'S HOUSE. THEN WE MOVED OVER TO GRAMMY AND PAPA'S HOUSE FOR THE REST OF THE TIME. IT WAS FUN BUT VERY HARD TO NOT HAVE OUR SEPARATE ROOMS. CHRISTMAS MORNING WAS LOTS OF FUN. IT WAS THE FIRST YEAR EVELYN COULD COMPREHEND THE WHOLE SANTA CLAUSE THING. SHE WOKE UP VERY EXCITED. SANTA BROUGHT EVELYN: A LEAPFROG LEAPSTER LAP TOP. AND A LEAPFROG TAG JUNIOR SYSTEM WITH BOOKS. SANTA BROUGHT LYLA: SMALL BABY BOOKS AND A TRAIN THAT MAKES NOISE. TRUST ME THEY GOT PLENTY OF OTHER TOYS FROM GRANDMOTHERS. ITS HARD WHEN THE GRANDMA'S OUT DUE SANTA... BUT WE CAN'T BUY THEM MUCH BEING STUDENTS. I GOT A STEP FOR WORKING OUT, JUST LIKE THE ONE AT THE GYM...SO EXCITED FOR IT. YAY. TRENT GOT: SOME PART FOR HIS MUSTANG, NOT EXACTLY SURE. WE ALSO GOT SPOILED WITH GIFTS AS WELL. WE DROVE JUST ABOUT EVERYWHERE TO SEE FAMILY. NEXT YEAR WE WILL BE CUTTING BACK WHILE LIVING THERE. WE NEED TO START OUR OWN FAMILY TRADITIONS AT CHRISTMAS. OUR NEW YEARS STARTED WITH TRENT GOING TO SLEEP AND ME STAYING UP PAST MIDNIGHT TALKING TO ELLIAH & MY MOM. THAT WAS OUR PARTY. HOPE YOU ALL HAD A GREAT HOLIDAY SEASON.
