I NEED HELP!!

Wanna Know How Cool I Am?? When I was pregnant with Lyla I noticed my eyesight getting worse, mostly while driving. So, I got me some glasses, regular & sunglasses. Oh how I loved loved my prescription sunglasses. One trip back up to Provo. We stopped along I-15 to trade drivers. All I remember is that They were on top of my head, when I switched seats with Trent, they were never seen again. Oh how I looked and looked for those. It was a very sad day, fast forward until 2 days ago (Christmas) my wonderful/amazing hubby surprised me with a new pair of prescription sunglasses. Oh how I held them and held them. Today I made a trip to Mesquite to take Lyla to the doctor. Best drive ever, basically I am such a happier driver when I can see. I take off my sunglasses, put them in their case and set them in the car door. I go to my Zumba class...I come back and park the car. I could see something in the driveway.................you guessed it. It was my sunglasses my friends. I pick them up...as I am screaming (NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO)!! I open up the case and they are broken. YES BROKEN...ONE OF THE SIDES BROKE CLEAR OFF. BUT THE LENSES WERE GOOD...ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!! HOW DID THEY GET OUT HERE, DID THEY GET RUN OVER OR STEPPED ON? WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? I NEED HELP??? OH MY GOSH. I TOOK THEM INSIDE WITH MY HEAD DROOPING DOWN. AND WAS LUCKY TO GLUE THE ONE SIDE BACK ON.... SO THEY WILL SURVIVE ONE MORE DAY WITH ME. AT FIRST I WASN'T GONNA TELL TRENT BUT I DID. YES I DID, HE WAS A LITTLE SHOCKED. I KNOW HE THINKS I AM WEIRD....THE END

Our Christmas...GRAND (Weekly 10 Too)!!

1)Went to Walmart 100 times trying to get ready for Christmas.
2)Taught 2 night classes this week, it was fun, wish I could do more nights...I just wanna get more people and I think nights are easier for them.
3)Cleaned my house a ton....got stressed over it...got messy...cleaned it again.
4)Listened to Michael Buble Christmas CD over and over again...oh yes I am sad to stop.
5)Stuffed my face way too much...with Goodies and anything in my line of vision...hungry or not.
6)Got to spend so much time with wonderful family members.
7)Had our first Christmas morning ever with the girls...it was awesome and we will never go back to giving up our morning. It was magical!!
8)We get so spoiled every year but this year, Trent's parents gave us the ultimate gift...a 47" flatscreen tv...They gave one to Ty & Annie and us. CAN YOU SAY CHA-CHING? Trent and I have been wanting one since our first boxy one was given to us for our wedding....But didn't want to fork over the money for one just yet...well no need to now.
9)All of our family members gave the girls and us great gifts that were well thought out. The girls...they got loaded with lots of new stuff, that hopefully will keep them occupied for the next year...lol.
10)Santa Gifts: A play kitchen, baby strollers, dress-ups, Lyla's first baby doll. Trent gave me prescription sunglasses...I lost my last pair and have missed them dearly. So, he got me some new ones. It was really sweet of him. He also gave me a hands free verizon wireless phone to use in the car. Cause as of Jan. 2012 its against the law in NV to talk on your cell phone in the car. Yeppers, it stinks...buy I agree with him in a way. lol I gave Trent a bench grinder, he insisted he needed one after giving me the scare of a lifetime when he cute his finger with a bigger grinder and passed out in the summer. I thought it would be a great gift as well. We also added these movies to our stash: August Rush, Wolverine X-Men, The Cat In The Hat, The Blind Side. It was a great, fabulous, joyful, sweet, fun Christmas!!

Lately...

Must Be Doing Something Right...

I was very proud of my parenting skills Sat. Trent picked out a few glazed donuts at the store. He couldn't wait to let the girls try them. Gets them at the table. Hands Evelyn half a donut and said,,, try this you'll love it. I don't want that I want spinach... can I have spinach mommy? & carrots? YOU SURE CAN...I SCREAMED WITH DELIGHT!! Trent said I will pay you 15 cents if you try it. So she took a little nibble. I had never been so proud. She constantly munches on fresh spinach and carrots:)You see I have always been a bit of a health nut, not an extreme one but I grew up eating healthy. So when I see it through the kiddos I am happy happy!!

The Weekly Ten:)

1)Plugged up our glowing Santa in the front room. The girls just love him. Lyla says Sanda...its very cute.
2)Completed my Christmas shopping...hooray, that will let me enjoy my week more.
3)Burned 50 disks for my the Overton 4th wards primary. It took forever.
4)Took pics of my very good friend Stephanie Thornton's family. It was a very crappy/freezing/windy day. But we got a few, I have to do another shoot to complete photos for them. What a great family they are.
5)Started doing the 12 days of Christmas for my neighbor Sandy (lost her hubby this year and is just so sweet)...oh I was so pumped to drop off something the first night. I ran so I wouldn't get caught. After running for about 30 seconds I got a runners high...and well couldn't stop. Ran up and down my street 2 times. Oh man I have been missing out. I haven't ran in so long. Maybe someday I can put on those really nice toning/running Reebok shoes I had to have and get my butt in gear. lol.
6)Had a great week working out, I gotta get my Zumba & Pilates fix to make my week complete. Annie we have got a great system going..we are the coolest teachers ever!!
7)Hurt my back and threw my neck out. Oh Daddy I love you...thanks for taking care of me.
8)My youngest sibling Ty turned in his mission papers. We are very excited for him and can't wait to hear where he is going and when.
9)We took the girls outside and raked and raked and raked leaves. I only helped halfway but Trent ended up with 15 bags of leaves...and we are only halfway done. So much leaves, but I love our trees, they are the best part of our yard for sure.
10)I have been getting so many ideas from Pinterest I can't keep up with myself. My next one is fixing up our dull curtains. yes, I said fix up I am too cheap to buy the ones that I am in love with from Anthropologie that are about $150 a set...but if I get desperate I might have to give into them.

Weekly Ten....

1)We could now have made it through our week without these things, we had some bad colds this week.
2)Trent put in our new counter and sink in our bathroom...photos coming soon. It's such a transformation..I love it.
3)Today Lyla was asleep Trent was at a church meeting and I jumped into the shower. Usually Evelyn just colors or something. We heard a cry and thought it was Lyla, Trent went to see who was crying. Come to find out Evelyn had climbed up to her top shelf of her high closet shelves and couldn't get down. She must have been up there for a good 10 min. She was all snotty and wet from tears. Trent said it was way sad. She is crazy for climbing up there.
4)Painted in the bathroom as well.
5)Did a gingerbread house with Evelyn. We bought a kit from Walmart, although I really want to make our own dough someday. I have been wanting to do this since we were married. It was really fun.
6)Made some homemade canvas photos for our wall. Oh man I picked up this idea from Kendra's blog and she got it from pinterest. Soo much cheaper than ordering a photo canvas. I can't wait to post these pics up all over my house. I am pretty proud of how our family pics turned out this year. So blew them up big.
7)Lyla is miss jabber mouth lately. She says so many words: night night, uh-oh, wow, mom, dada, eban (Evelyn), baby, bear, ball etc.
She is at such a fun/demanding age!
8)Lyla pushed Evelyn for the first time ever, flat out two handed push, Evelyn hit the floor got up and Lyla did it again. I was cheering inside cause of all the times Lyla has been pushed and hit. She is finally getting some revenge...ha ha.
9)It's impossible to keep up on my house/laundry. Sheez I just give myself credit for trying. Now I know with 8 kids, why my mom always asked us to do chores and taught me to do my own laundry at a young age....can't imagine cleaning after/washing laundry for 10 people!!
10)Ran to Vegas Friday night...Just Trent, me, & the Ghost. We hired Maddi and Ari Messer to feed, bathe, and put the girls down. We went to a Mob friend party (Mob what Trent's group of friends used to get called in highschool). We had a great fun night. Had a yummy dinner and fun white elephant gift exchange. Then we told crazy high school stories. I don't think I have ever seen Trent laugh so hard, he was crying. I was so happy to be his wife last night and have 2 kiddos with this man. I love him so much!!

Me: You can't go outside right now...."Can I just do it for like 55 minutes"? -Evelyn

Trent: "I lost five pounds, without even trying!!" Me: "How what did you do different, not fare". *Although he has been eating less at night and working physical labor for work....I am sure that is it!! He is sexier than ever right now...how I love my hottie hubby. He really is dreamy.

Me: "Evelyn Please stop hitting Lyla....Evelyn Please stop hitting Lyla....TIMEOUT!! Evelyn: "Stop screaming at me, you hurt my feelings, you have not been nice to me today, you don't have to talk to me like that"! (as she is crying) Oh ya this happens whenever I ask tell her to do anything. It breaks my heart and I feel awful. It's not like I lose it I just give her warnings she doesn't listen to, so I raise my voice. OH boy she is hard to handle/figure out lately. I explain to her that if she would listen when I ask nicely I won't scare her with my voice. Ba humbug...

While looking at a wedding photo: Evelyn "Mom why is Aunt Kylee kissing daddy in this picture?" Me:"That is not Aunt Kylee it's me we look lots alike huh?" Evelyn: "Wow that is really weird, she looks just like you". (yes she does)

When someone is being really bad: Me " I am calling Santa Clause.................Evelyn "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I will listen now"! Oh how I love using this tactic. Too bad it doesn't work this good year round.

Imagine hearing the loudest highest pitched scream ever: "SCREAM"!! -Lyla About 20 times a day...makes my ears hurt. When she gets mad or wants something it usually happens.

Weekly Ten...

1)Played with cousins Caleb, Ella, & baby Claire. My brother Isaac brought his cute kiddos and wife down here. He had some police training in Vegas. I really wish I had a sibling that lived here. Trent has so much family here, we never get to see Askeroth cousins:(
2)Lyla is a whole different kind of hard this week. Fit throwing city. Lots of time outs from pulling down the ornaments on the tree, and going toilet diving. Oh ya I got a toilet lock and Lyla broke it the first day....she is a stinker.
3)Went yard sale shopping and found lots of VHS movies....Yes we are a family who still looks for the classics on VHS. Do you remember the sing along movies? I grew up watching them. Carrie Beckstrand from our ward gave us about a dozen...free of charge. Score, we got other Disney movies as well. Then we went to Meg Curtis's yard sale and I picked up the cutest little time out chair. That has time out carved on the back. I am so excited to paint and use this thing.
4)I used my new stereo system today at my pilates class. OH my oh my it is so awesome. I really can't explain the difference....night and day I guess. It made the workout so fun. Everyone could hear me so well, and the music was so clear...I feel like a true professional in a real gym now.
5)Picked up our counter top in Mesquite for our bathroom. It is gonna look so nice.
6)Also experienced the worst shopping experience ever with the girls at Walmart in Mesquite. They are usually really good. Meltdown for everyone, ya!!
7)Trent is now completely done with school. He passed his last final to his last online class and is so glad he is D O N E !! I am so proud of him for graduating in the construction management program at BYU. It was not easy..but he pressed on. Good job honey:D
8)Thursday night Lyla put her hand on my head and pushed back. Next thing I knew I basically couldn't move my neck....at all. Severe pain...so luckily I was able to race over to my dads. I am so happy to have a chiropractor in the family. He fixed me right up and I am back to normal by now...Thanks Daddy, I am so grateful for you & your mad back/neck popping skills.
9)Trent completed the shelves in the girls rooms, oh man they are so nice, I love to organize. Now if I can only get them painted.
10)Attended my first tupperware party at Annie's. And was able to also book one to host for myself in January sometime. They have really neat stuff.

It's Finally Here:

This is the Fender Pro 150 I ordered for my pilates class. I got inspired by my sister in law Annie who teaches Zumba. She found out a great guy named Andrew in her ward is a dealer for Fender. Ordered herself a sweet setup...I was very jealous...very. So, my bday was coming up and Christmas and I thought, what a great present to myself right? RIGHT!! I tried it out tonight and OH BOY!! If you wanna see how awesome it is, come to my class. Monday 9:30-10:30 AM, Wed. 8:00-9:00 PM, Sat. from 8:30-9:30 AM. I am gonna bring it!!

Weekly Ten...

1)Lyla's latest craze is fishing in the toilet. I woke up and found a comb in the toilet. About an hour later Evelyn came to me and said "Lyla is playing in the toilet". I go in there Lyla is swirling around our pink Wii remote. Yep, I freaked after I shaked off all the toilet water I threw that thing in a bag of rice, works just fine now. Love that rice trick.
2)Worked out twice Sat. Once in the morning once at night. My sister in law Annie and I both did free classes for everyone. It was such a fun fun day. I wish I could do two workouts more often. Pilates + Zumba is the best combo ever.
3)Wed. night I had someone come interview me about my class for the paper. Yay, so glad to get some exposure. Hope it will make people think differently about my class. They are doing an article about all the classes the valley provides now. Hope I like what is said about my class.
4)Trent went hunting from Sunday to Wed. with his dad and brothers. Oh how I dread these trips, but we always survive them. So good to have him back home again.
5)Made a quick run into Vegas Sat. to pick up some stuff for the house. Trent also had to get new boots.
6)Trent had been building closet shelves in the girls rooms. Oh happy day now I need to paint them, I can finally get organized in there.
7)Took some photos of Evelyn and Lyla in a pile of leaves in our front yard. Here are some of them.
8)Put up all of our Christmas decorations and oh how I am loving this Christmas spirit.
9)Thanksgiving was so so fun and yummy. We ate at Camille's house this year. Oh the food...I made some rolls I was pretty proud of. I have got to get my butt in gear now working off all that pie. lol. We also played a sweet game of kickball too.
10)Had a play date at the park with Amanda Monk and Tessa Wolfley. We had lots of fun. The girls just love playing there.
11)Santa called and he picked up all the toys for the girls...early this year sweet.
12)Evelyn played Rupunzel hair with this long piece of fabric my mom had. Oh how she loved throwing her hair down to mother gothel....so cute.
13)I also cut my finger Wed. night after Trent got home. I woke up when he walked into the bedroom. It was about one in the morning. I had to use the potty so, I went and then my eyes were dry...like they are everynight. I wanted to get hunting details from the hubs. So I was attempting to open up the eyedrops plastic with a small pair of sharp scissors. Went right into my finger. Yikes. I HATE cutting my fingers...I went into the kitchen and got way lightheaded , and felt like I was going to puke. Almost blacking out. My body is a wimp to blood and the pain and yada yada. Not fun, I had to keep my head between my legs for about 10 minutes. It was throbbing. So, I had Trent super glue it shut...finally I went to bed. That is my bodies reaction to injury...scares me to death.
