Dangerously Comfortable....

We got to inherit these from Trent's brother Ty and his wife Annie. They couldn't fit them into their house, so we snatched them right up. When we got all of them into our front room, it took at least a 1/2 hour for us to figure out how to fit them. I spent hours and hours taking the covers off the cushions. Plucking out duck feathers that were stuck inside....then through them into the washing machine. They are about 6 years old I think...so I figured it was time to make them nice and fresh again.
Oh was all that hard work worth it. Trent, Evelyn and I can't seem to get off of them. And they really help the look of our home. So, thanks to Rod & Camille for giving them to Ty & Annie, & Ty & Annie for giving them to us.
Our old ones came with our house and had really bad water stains on them. This is such a treat for us. Now if we could only get our butts off of it now..lol. I am really soaking it all in being hugely prego though.

37 Weeks

Dear Lyla, This is me hugely prego with you. I have gained about 40 pounds. 5 more than I did with Evelyn. One day I will tell you all about my aches and pains I had to bring u here. And how your older sister Evelyn, loved to kiss my belly daily and talk to you. You will love Evelyn, and I have a feeling you two will become great friends. 2 weeks from Thurs. the 1st. we will get to meet you. We are very excited. Mommy is so happy I get to knock off a week because of a c-section. I can't wait to hold you and kiss you....Love Mommy

Lyla's Room

So...I finally finished Lyla's room. About time...I love the way it turned out though. I am very grateful we have another room to put her in. I had to get a new crib set, even though Trent thought I was silly. I think he is happy I did now. I have used bright colors in both of the girl's rooms. I love girl stuff and going all out with decorating. Hooray for pink!! I made the "all girl" sign. My sister Kylee was going to do it, then she got crazy busy with getting ready for Maddox to come, (plus on bed rest). My mom made this darling Lyla banner & pillow that is on the rocking chair. I also made the photo frames as well. We didn't exactly have a full closet so, we put up this closet rod over the washer/dryer. Now we just need our Lyla...oh can't wait.

Evelyn Built A Friend....

A few weeks ago Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt took Evelyn to Build A Bear for the first time. She really had fun in there. She wasn't really focused on the one she was creating, just all the stuff to touch. So, I was left to pick out everything. Talk about choices, choices...I was getting a little overwhelmed ha ha. I had lots of fun dressing the bear and everything. Thanks for taking her Rod & Camille!! She takes this bear everywhere and into every store...its pretty cute. She says the bear's name is Lyla.

Heard Around The House:)

So I have seen how mothers post funny things that their kids say around the house. I wanted to give this a whirl too, so I can remember these in the future.
IN THE KITCHEN: (all on separate days)
me: looking in the fridge looking what to make for dinner, Evelyn we have no food, what happened to it?? Did you eat it all?
Evelyn: No Daddy Eat It!!
me: Evelyn eat your peas too please....
Evelyn: pointing to my plate of food...Mommy eat your food.
me: Evelyn don't drink all your milk before your dinner is ready ok?
Evelyn: mommy cook, mommy cook food.
me: (making the grocery list) she pointed to it and said...Mommy milk K:)

Happy Father's Day to a wonderful Dad and husband. You are great with Evelyn and Lyla will be so lucky to have you for a daddy as well. Thanks for supporting us as a family and trying so hard at school and work. I know it's gotta be tough so much of the time. I couldn't ask for a better person to raise a family with. Evelyn's 1st Smooch!!

Yesterday we drove up to Logan, UT for my niece Sailor's baby blessing. It was very fun to see my parents and Kendra & her little family. She also had some of her friends who came. One was this couple that had two little boys. The oldest one was named James and he was 3. So he starts following Evelyn around. Then, getting in her face. I sat her on a chair to fix her hair before their sacrament meeting. He came up to her and was talking to her.....I was parting her hair so wasn't watching everything that was going on. But, next think I knew he was kissing my 2 year old right smack on the lips. Yes, my friends its true. I didn't really know what to do...I thought it wouldn't last long until it DID...about a minute. And after about 10 seconds Evelyn just sat there...frozen. We were all just watching...it was cute, but at the same time...I was like wait a minute this is my 2 year little girl...buddy. Come back when she is graduated and you have served a mission. It was pretty funny though. Thought I would share it on my blog to document it. I know she is very beautiful and we have many years of fighting off boys from her....but I am not ready for that yet...lol.

1st Hair Cut:)

Evelyn's hair had never been cut before. I wanted it evened out so it would look better down. My friend Amy in my ward did it for us. She did a great job with Evelyn, and I was really shocked on how good Evelyn sat there. She was perfectly still for her. Afterwards her cute boy Hayden played with Evelyn while I got my bangs trimmed. I had never seen Evelyn play so well with another kid. She was very comfortable there!! I took Trent's camera and got some photos. Thanks Amy you did a great job with Evelyn:)

34 Weeks Along!!

Don't mind my bad photo...I tried. My hair just isn't getting done lately, and my face and body won't stop expanding. Prob my worst pregnancy photo so far. I know there might be some confusion as to how far along I am. I reset my ticker and it is a week ahead, only because I know I am having Lyla one week early and the day. I wanted it to count down until the day instead of when I am due. I am really only 34 weeks this week, not 35. N-E ways I have never felt so huge, tired, uncomfortable, unattractive, frumpy, you name it, in all my life. I have about 2 outfits I can wear still, and I feel like the cuteness has been sucked right out of me. ugg. I am done with the sore joints, headaches, heartburn, potty trips...you know the really fun stuff:/ I have been trying to spend lots of quality time with Evelyn as it will end shortly. Well, its nice to know there is an end in sight now though...on July 15th we will be driving to the hospital to get this baby out. I have really been trying to get everything done around the house...because each week is flying by and she will be here before we know it.

OUr LoVe STorY

I grew up with Trent, never thought much about him. He asked me on a date the summer before our Senior year of high school. Lets just say Austin Powers isn't a good movie to take a girl you wanna make a good impression on!! ha ha. I saw something different in him though than I had seen in other guys. He smelled nice and clean instead of packing on the calone. He was cute and really nice. I decided I was going to ask him to the Reverse dance our Senior Year. But, he got asked before I got the chance...(ya Breena that was you...lol)I kinda backed off and dated someone else for a while. We don't have to mention his name. The whole time I was dating this other individual...I kept Trent in the back of my mind. When I finally came to my senses that I LIKED Trent, I thought I had blown my chance with him. Guess not because he asked me to go to Prom with him. That was exciting!! We went out a little bit before that and held hands. But, didn't kiss for a while...I admired him because he didn't just want to get a piece of me right away...he took his time. Plus he told me he was pretty scared and didn't want to blow it. We went to prom...no kiss. I went to visit him before he went to Hawaii for a Jazz band trip. When he walked me outside I made the move and kissed him....(not the girls job in my opinion)I also told him I loved him first....again not the girls job. So here I am at the end of my senior year in love and so happy.
After we graduated he headed up to SUU and I headed to Dixie College. We saw each other on weekends and went home together. I think it was good that we weren't in the same town where we could see each other every day. It made it a little easier when I know he was going on a mission. He gave me a promise ring before he left and said, consider yourself engaged! May of 2004 he left on his mission to Tulsa OK Spanish Speaking Mission. Went into the MTC on his 19th B-Day.
I was just beside myself for the first six months. I knew I had to get out of Logandale and change up my life a little bit. I moved to Cedar City and worked for about another six months at this place called Ab Initio Acadamy, It was a daycare/preschool place. I taught and took care of toddlers there. This job was basically hopeless and I wanted to get involved in photography more. Debby Leavitt (a friend from my homeward who I had know for a long time)needed an assistant for her photography. This was such an amazing opportunity for me to learn more about what photography was. She taught me all of the good things I know now. I moved back to Logandale and worked for her through the last year of Trent's mission and six months after he got home. Thanks to Debby for that amazing opportunity. It changed my life. And made the time pass by quicker before I knew it Trent came home.
I will never forget going with his family to pick him up at the airport. I thought I was going to cry when I saw him...but I was just so happy I couldn't stop smiling. That night was soo amazing. When we held hands again, he kissed me first, (ya that's how its done:) I was hoping he would the night he got home and he did. Ahh...I was truly on cloud nine. I had never been happier.
Three weeks later he proposed...I had no idea he even had a ring and was really surprised. He picked out the most perfect ring I had ever seen....stunningly gorgeous and a great style to. I bawled and bawled when he got on his knee. It had made all of those bitter/sad moments so worth it, at that time. I had gotten so much grief from people when he was gone..."You'll never marry him", "Your wasting your time", "Your distracting him", blah blah blah!! Oh how I loathed these people. And most of the time would set them straight by asking for their address so I could send them an announcement. Oh I sure showed them!! On my wedding day I was like in your face non believers... Ok, people I know that waiting doesn't work for everyone, but it does for some. So, please don't criticize or make fun of a girl that is waiting. I mean I FAITHFULLY WAITED...I didn't want to date because I knew it would waste my time and the guys time. I just wanted my best friend back. It worked out for us, and Trent's mission really made us closer and tested our love for sure.
In September of 2006 we got married in the St. George Temple and will be celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary this coming September. We now have a 2 year old and another little girl will be here in about 5 weeks. Its funny how slowly the 2 years went when Trent was gone...but how quick these married years have flown by. Needless to say we are truly happily married. And I love him more as the time passes by:)
When I was pregnant with Evelyn, I went through all of the letters Trent and I wrote back on forth on his mission. There were 216 of them!! I put them all in order from when I would write and his letter responding and so on. A few weeks ago I finally got them put into a these binder books. Now I feel complete, we can look over and read these, our posterity can read them. They are wonderful. We never missed a week of writing each other. If we had a fire ever and I could save one physical item from my house, I would reach for these binders for sure. Hopefully that never happens.
Well there you have it the story of Trent and Tara Leavitt..yes it is long. But I felt like I needed to post it.
I encourage You, Yes You who is reading this to post you and your hubby's love story. Lets face it, its so fun to hear everyones.

The World Of Evelyn....

So, I never usually like to post unless I have photos which isn't that often. But, I decided to start posting random thoughts or memories I want to document about our lives. I will be honest...I do write in my journal just not very often. So, here it goes...
Evelyn is changing so much daily. She loves to go potty on the big toilet...potty training in in progress but not forced. We just let her take the lead on it. She is obsessed with the Cinderella song where the mice are singing and making her dress. She says, Relli Relli, we play it about 20 times in a row for her. It would be nice if the song was more than a minute long...it gets old restarting it. Also loves listening to the Children's Primary songbook Cd's. They are awesome and we all love the spirit they bring into our home, she is really picking up on the words to them. Yesterday I took her to the playground at the park and she loved going down all the slides and wanted to get as high as she could. I usually walk with her while she pushes her baby in her stroller, and man can she go fast. So, I can't keep up with her and my prego belly. I am sure its a funny sight. She loves to squeeze bugs and eventually kill them. Mostly the rolly polly kind. But, today she was picking up some dirt and grabbed a bee, and she said mommy...bee. I think she got stung a little bit, she was so brave about it. She kept saying..."bee touched me". A few weeks ago she managed to grab a bee in mid air and not get stung...the same day she played with a dead spider I had just killed with Raid in our house.
She can throw fits pretty easily and we can tell she is two...but a second later she can be the sweetest thing ever. She loves to give us kisses and hugs. When she tells us she wants something she says...K afterwards...its really cute. She also sings "Shake, Shake, your booty" Randomly all the time. I don't know who taught her this phrase, but I was kinda shocked when I first heard my little girl singing it. lol When we ask her a question the usual response is Yes...and she says it with the cutest lisp ever. She is always talking about the baby in my tummy. We have decided on the name Lyla and she goes around the house saying it. She is going to be a great big sister.
P.S. My sister Kylee had her little boy Maddox yesterday, he is adorable. Which is good news because I am next to have Lyla. Six more weeks and I be holding her in my arms...there is nothing better than a newborn, especially when they belong to you:)
