1) Friday we went to Las Vegas as a family, Trent was working in his Dad's office and had to drop off some things. I need to run a few errands, so we wanted to make it a family trip. We ate at Carl's Junior & ran to Costco, Target, & Walmart. It was a little hard with the girls but we had an enjoyable time.
2) Saturday Trent went and got the backhoe from his Dad's office, drove it down to our house and cleaned up a weed pile and pulled out this ugly bush we have been hating lately. I worked on the car, while the girls played outside all morning.
3) Wed. night there was a dog that decided to come into the gym during pilates, good thing it only came in the front entryway. It was hard to get it out then we gave it some water. It was interesting.
4) Evelyn started swimming lessons this week at the Overton pool, she is in the beginner level this year. Last summer she was too scared to even get into the water, this year was a great improvement. Every day started to get better, until her teachers didn't see her come off the wall, and struggle under the water, of course I freaked and ran over there, but they saw her. It kinda scared her, so I am hoping this week she will still be just as excited to get into the water. Crossing my fingers, I almost drown when I was about 6/7 and it scarred me for life, until I took a life guarding class and became one, and took my WSI (Water Safety Instructor) and learned how to swim safe and do the strokes the right way. Changed my life. If I had a pool and the time I would gladly teach my kids myself instead of paying for the young high school kids doing it.
5) Trent was working on his Mustang Monday night and dropped a big fat wrench on his head, ouch big huge goose-egg on his forehead, that bled and hurt for days. He wanted to get the front end sit higher,....mission accomplished.
6) Lyla is getting so big and changing so much lately. She is will be 2 in less than a month, where did the time go?
7) Today in primary I was the one man show. All of the presidency was gone, Sister O'Toole was there off and on. She had lots of things to run around and do. A nephew blessing & other things. Karina Shakespear subbed for the music today, and we were both nervous, but the hour went fine. Phew...glad it's over with.
8) I started to paint this old highchair I got that is over 100 years old. I have primed and wood glued some. Also put some wood putty in there. I am gonna finish it off with a light-blue coat and some wood stain to bring out the detail on it. I think it will turn out so cute. Gonna use it for my niece Claire's 1st year photo shoot coming up. Yee-Haa.
9) Had a presidency meeting at the church where we cleaned out the closet, and ate Tiffanies wraps that were sooo good.
10) I have been forgetting random things lately. My friend April & I were gonna meet at the splash pad on Friday at 10....I remembered the day before, but then made other water plans with my sister in law, ended up not going to either and went to Vegas with Trent. Poor April shows up with her kids by herself, can someone say crappy friend?? uhhhhhhhh

Weekly Ten:)
1) Trent and the girls went to the lake Sat. morning with Grandpa Leavitt & Uncle Taylor. I didn't go because I had my pilates class. But, both the girls came home with loads of sand in their pants from having such a great time in the water. They went fishing but didn't catch any fish.
2) Trent took the Mustang to Mesquite to get a paint quote and had some bad luck transporting it there. One of his straps came lose and the Mustang went crashing into the trailer, causing damage to it. After Trent drove off steaming mad, he got on the freeway and had the hood on the Mustang, fly up...he pulled off again. Then he had some trouble with his truck, poor guy.
3)The girls spent about half of the week playing on their new swing set, that thing was worth every penny. Lyla has had a few tough spills on it. It's a little high & she thinks she is as big as Evelyn and wants to do everything she does.
4) Made a Walmart trip in Mesquite, every time I do this with the girls I tell myself never again will I bring them with me, but that is just life with kids and I have to face that. They can't not be with me. I enjoy their company until the whining & fits happen....
5) Evelyn got her craft on with stuff we bought at Walmart, she has been painting & doing glitter and gluing puff balls. We have had fun together when Lyla has been napping.
6) Taught 2 really fun pilates classes this week. My class really keeps me going through the craziness my life throws at me. I am so grateful for the women I have met throughout my class and the joy they bring to me.
7) Trent's sister Taryn got engaged last night. She came over to our house showing off her bling-bling ring. She is marrying Shane Robison, and he picked a gorgeous ring. We are so excited for them to start their life together. She is gonna be just the cutest little bride.
8) I got a phone call yesterday from my bestest friend Elizabeth Hall. She lives all the way in Texas and I really truly miss her so much. Her call made my week!! Miss you Lizzy and you will never know how much I love and adore you:) Lets Skype soon sweetie.
9) My brother Ty finally landed in his mission Perth, Australia this week. He called my dad from Sydney and said some people talked to them, and they couldn't understand anything that was being said. They have really thick accents. I think he will be an excellent missionary and do so well there. We really miss him here but know he is where he needs to be.
10) Last night I played match-maker and hooked up my cousin Dane Askeroth with my friend Haley Leavitt. They came over here for dinner and we played some games and talked and laughed a lot. I have to say they would make a really cute couple. But, it's not always up to the matchmaker....dang it. ha ha. What a fun night!

New Swingset Fun...
We found this used swingset at a yard sale. The asking price was for $350, but Trent offered them $200 and we snatched it. He took some large pieces apart & had some guys from our ward help move it. Good thing it was just down the street. Since it's been put together, Evelyn can't stop talking/smiling about it. The girls can't get enough of it, and we really can't be happier with our spontaneous purchase. Gotta love yard sales, they are one of my favorite Sat. activities. I took my camera out the other morning to capture them on this. Love these pics. Enjoy!!

Things The Girls Say Lately:
Lyla: "modydoo, modydoo, modydoo....she says it when she is upset or sad. We can not for the life of us figure out what it is....Mommy do??? who knows.
Lyla: "Purple, green, blue, red, kink: usually when she sees something colorful or cars in a parking lot.
Evelyn: Usually when I tell her something she doesn't want to do/hear. "Well, then if you do that I will just punch you in the face, or cut you!!" *What the heck, where does she get this from?? as a side note I never threaten that I will punch her in the face or cut her if she doesn't do something.....silly silly girl.
Evelyn: (on the complete other hand) "Mommy I love you and your my favorite person."

Weekly 10!!
1) Trent got his elk head back and it is a huge beast. Trent is trying to convince me to put it in the house, but it would overpower our little home and I reminded him that when we got married I said none in the house. sorry! So, into the man cave garage it will go.....with Pride!
2) Got to go on a fun date with. Trent's brother Ty & his wife Annie, & his sister Taryn and her boyfriend Shane. We just drove to Mesquite & ate at Los Lupas, plus went and grabbed Trent & Ty's Elk heads.
3) Went with my Mom to an awesome yard sale. This place buys items up for auction and resells them. The guy sold me a baby cradle over 100 years old, and knows I do photography. So he bought a 100 year old wooden highchair with me in mind. My mom went on Friday & told me about it. So, on Sat. I had to go see it. Which was great but expensive, I also got a kids rocking chair, and 2 other chairs.
4) Trent & the girls went on a four-wheeler ride by our house and found a swingset. They wanted $350 and he talked them down to $250 then to $200. We had some guys from our ward help us move it on a trailer and we drove it over to our house.
Also our old one got taken by a guy in our ward it couldn't have worked out more perfectly. Trent put it together and the girls are gonna love it.
5) Evelyn got to come with me to Zumba, my sister in law Annie did a kids night in honor of school getting out. She was scared to dance but after a few songs, she had a blast. And has really got some moves.
6) Since I am always buying photo props I am running out of room in the garage. So, I started to put them in our old barn out front. We swept that out and now I have some chairs in there. Always so many projects to do around here.
7) Lyla was standing in the yard and got bit by lots of piss ants. (ONE THING I H.A.T.E ABOUT THE DESERT) We had 100's of them in our driveway, that appeared after some pipe burst in our neighborhood and flooded our yard. Thank goodness for our friend Jay D. With Baja Pest Control. We called him and now not one ant is out there. phew....Poor Lyla I ran her over to Trent and we turned the hose on full blast, sheez those things can pinch. You can still see the bites. Dear Ants, you threaten my daughter again and well, you know what will happen.....grrrrrrrrrr.
8) Trent received parts from Australia this week for the Mustang. He also decided on a color to paint it. Even though that won't happen for a while. The color is called sonic blue, it's a dark blue. It's gonna be soooo flashy. I tried to talk Trent into a different color but, he loves blue, it's his favorite color. lol
9) I am in the process with setting up my cool cousin Dane Askeroth with Haley Leavitt a family friend. Ok, I have only set up a few people in my life and haven't been successful. However, I am convinced there could maybe be a wedding here. We'll see they go out this weekend. I will keep you updated.
10) The blasted wind here (ANOTHER AWESOME THING ABOUT LIVING IN THE DESERT) lol. Blew a huge tree branch right by our window last night. I was up tossing & turning and think I heard it crash down. Scary if it would have hit our window.
***Here are some chairs & stuff for photo props too. I can't wait to fix up and make my own. Hands down my fav photo here, the girls in their glasses....oh ya!!
