This is a little late but Lyla turned 7 months old on the 15th. She is at such a fun age. Here is some 7 month old facts about her:
1)She is so close to crawling and likes to hold this downward dog pose with her bum in the air, pretty dang cute.
2)She is starting to make ba-ba-ba sounds. And mmm-mmm sounds while she is eating her solid food.
3)She sleeps on her stomach almost all the time and loves it. Thankfully that has helped her bald spot out, it is almost grown in completely. Finally.
4)She loves Baby Einstien more than ever.
5)She loves vanilla wafers and her sippy cups with water.
6)She truly is one happy baby.
7)She looks more & more like Trent to me lately.
*Sidenote: Lyla has more sensitive skin than Evelyn, so I switched to Aveeno baby wash and lotion. Holy smokes, a miracle worker. I have never felt skin so soft before. Now she doesn't get any more dry patches. I thought I would never like anything more than Johnson's brand but now I swear I will never go back to Johnson's (at least for my babies) even if they smell really good.

The weekly 10 :D
There has been lots happening here in the last week. Here is what we have been up doing this week:
(I am trying to be better blogging at what is going on in our life as a family so I am making a goal to shoot a weekly 10 update on here to remember what happens years from now)
1)Evelyn is on a whole new level of....well how do I say it nicely? Driving us crazy. She won't stop climbing all over Trent. And her new language is Wining 24/7. She currently is treating Lyla like she is a rag doll, and loves to ride her like she is a horse..Yep, she is definitely almost 3.
2)Lyla is moments away from crawling herself. It will happen any day now. She is also making lots of fun talking noises. She is our little cuddle bug.
3)We had been planning it for at least a year. Once we got our tax returns this year, we would sell my car and get an SUV. Oh man we were excited...MOSTLY ME!! We looked so much on KSL. And found some beauties = 2007 Yukons, black and in great shape. We showed up to test drive one. And one of the guys at the dealership took it for a test drive to St. George or something. A little disappointed we went home and found some more on KSL we were going to test drive on Mon. However, on Sunday....we got to thinking. All of the sudden it occurred to us that we have gone this long with out having a larger vehicle. We could probably just hang on to my Saturn for a while longer. Trent and I agreed to think about it the whole day. Went to church and guess what every speaker/teacher was talking about? Money, & needs and wants. Yep, thanks HF for sending us a pretty clear message that right now is not the time. Probably in the near future. Even though I am still sad about it, we feel very confident about our decision. It made me really proud of us. Instead we are using the money towards things we need. And Trent gave me a good chunk to spend. So, I have been shopping to my hearts content. It's pretty fun. We also got Trent's windshield replaced in the truck and a spanking new car seat for Lyla. She is in heaven now on rides.
4)Got a parking ticket on our the truck parked in front of our house. Blast those stupid BYU police that are out and about at 2 am. We only have one parking pass now. And forgot it was in the saturn and not in the truck at the time. We still think its pathetic that we can't park at our own place without a stupid pass. ugg.
5)Trent is more than 1/2 way done with his online BYU class...he is cruising. And today his couselor called him to tell him great job on his effort:D
6) I bought 2 swimming suits today for $50 at Modbe...they are very cute and amazing. I will be so ready to move down to the HOT NEVADA SUN. Also found a lovely pair of capri workout pants at Nordstrom. That I LOVE. I never shop at department stores...they are so expensive. These pants will be worth the $45 though.
7) I am earnestly trying to pack, prepare for my pilates class, improve my photography skills, clean my house, feed my kiddos, work out, & spend alone time with my amazing husband. it is tough.
8)Went to DI and found some great cookbooks, material for crafting, & dumped some of my junk off there.
9)Pretty sure I broke my toe yesterday. I don't really remember what happened but, know I rammed my foot into the wall. Today I found a bruised/ fat toe. It's been hard to walk on.
10)Got called to be a RS teacher, and am very excited about it. Only 2 months of teaching:D

I'M BACK BABY!!

I GOT ON THE SCALE TODAY AND I AM BACK TO MY PRE-PREGNANCY WEIGHT, MAN IT FEELS LIKE A HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT. NO 128 ISN'T MY CURRENT WEIGHT. THIS IS JUST THE BEST SCALE PHOTO I COULD FIND. SINCE IT TOOK ME UNTIL EVELYN WAS AT LEAST ONE YEARS OLD TO LOSE IT AFTER HER. I GUESS ALL THE TRIPS TO THE GYM, EATING RIGHT, AND LYLA WANTING TO NURSE ALL THE TIME HAS PAID OFF. AND I MAKE SOOOO MUUUUUCCCHHHHH MMMMMIIIILLLKK! I AM GRATEFUL TO HAVE ENOUGH MILK TO NURSE MY BABIES FOR A WHILE. I HAVE TO GIVE MYSELF A PAT ON THE BACK. I HAVE REALLY HAD TO UP MY GAME AT THE GYM THIS TIME. MY BODY DOESN'T LOOK THE SAME WAY IT DID BUT AT LEAST I GOT THOSE NUMBERS BACK DOWN. CONSIDERING I GAINED 40 POUNDS WITH LYLA....YEP FOURTY!

A Day Of Love
We had one of the funnest Valentine's Day yet. Aunt Taryn came to babysit for us. Thanks Tarbear, your awesome. For our date I decided I wanted to go to Home Depot to get ideas about what type of carpet and new counter tops we want. It was really fun & got us really excited to fix up our house in Logandale. And even MORE EXCITED to build our own house someday. Anyone want to donate one million dollars to our house fund?? Let me know if you do:D We finished off the date with some really good frozen yogurt at a place in Provo called Spoon It Up...YUM! These are the only pics we got. Also, Trent came home from school with these beautiful pink tulips from the BYU flower shop. I love them and have never received any of before. I am so happy to be married to such a stud. What a wonderful husband & daddy he is. Trent, you still are my NUMBER ONE & always will be!!

Jay's Wedding
This last weekend we got to go to our really good friend Jay D's wedding in Logandale. It was so fun to see all of the MOB group from highschool. And meet their kids too. I just love running into old friends:D

Fun For Evelyn
Just some fun recent photos. Evelyn got to go fishing with Grandpa Leavitt (didn't catch any fish, but had a blast) and ride on her cousin Lucy's fourwheeler. Trent was pretty excited about that:D Try on Aunt Kendra's old pink wig. Give little sister a hug and go on a walk in our double stroller.

M U S E

For my weekly Project 52 assignment. Last weeks was Muse: to become absorbed in thought, ponder, wonder, marvel. Well, I don't get out much here in Provo. It's cold and I can only photograph my kids for my assignments. I really was excited to get in on Project 52 to get lots of feedback from other photographers. But, I will be honest, I am getting NADA from others. People hardly every leave comments on my photos. I understand there is about 1,000 people that are involved in it. But, I know people look at it. Like I think this photo of Evelyn is really cute. I mean its not the best shot, clutter in the back round but still deserves a comment from someone. It got one comment by the end of the week. Ya, it was from myself saying: "I would love just one comment!". No one cared...ugg. Anyways I am not trying to have a pity party on myself, but its just been something I have had on my mind. Photography is a hard thing to love. Because well, lets face it everyone in their dog is a photographer now. And everyone has their own style and opinion on what is and isn't a good photo. I have days where I think I am decent and other days where I am not anything special. However, I am still going to pursue the love I have for photography and keep on pushing forward. I am hoping to open my own business soon after we move back to Nevada. I already know what I will be calling it. It's a secret ya'll. You will have to wait to see. Can't wait until I have my license, and a new webite. It is going to be really neat. Until then I might just quit Project 52

Lovely Lyla

There is no getting around it....our little Lyla is very lovely. Oh how I love her chubbiness, and sweetness, and calmness. We had lots of fun with her today. Everyday Evelyn becomes more proud to be her big sister. I am so blessed to be a mommy. P.s. I didn't really get ready today, this is my "I don't want to do my hair look".
