Mickey Mouse Club...

Unfortunetly we are not done with our mice problem. It's the Mickey Mouse Club at our house. They appartently think they can run the show. Shortly after we caught our first one, I heard some scratching in the wall of our bedroom. Followed by one running above us in our ceiling. Yep, they have been running everywhere inside the walls and our house. Trent got inside the attic and placed some traps up there. Soon we didn't hear the sound in our walls. So, we thought he got them there. We would rather have them in our wall than in the house. We were wrong again, Trent found more poop in the couch...ugg. So, we went out and bought more sticky mouse traps. Some large and a few small. We put PB on it and it got on there and then ate the PB off, on a few different ones. So yesterday Trent went and bought some snappy traps and some that trap them inside. Last night a mouse ate one off of a snappy one...what the heck?? Then we found out one had been into our shelf with our food. Got into our bag of our patatoes and cereal. U kidding me?? We have no idea how many we have. All we know is we have a big problem with them. We might be calling an exterminator soon.

Mouse Hunt Is Over:)

Ok so no photos for the end result because it was kinda ucky. But, we got him finally. Our friend had a sticky mouse trap that he gave us. He told us to put peanut butter on it...said when they had a mouse they caught it within 5 minutes doing that. So, last night we put it in front of the same vent it crawled into the other day. The morning still no sign of Mr. Mouse!! But this morning Trent decided to put it on the counter so Evelyn couldn't touch it. And BAM he crawled up on there somehow and we went for the PB...translates to we caught him. So crazy that we didn't catch him on the floor..but on the counter. YUCKY!! We are soo relieved that our hunt is over and we can sit on our couch comfortably now.

Our One Month Old!!

How time flies lately. I can't believe our little Lyla is a whole month old today. We love to have her in our family. I don't think these cheeks could get kissed anymore by her mommy. I just adore them!! She is very strong for a 1 month old, just like Evelyn. She likes to roll over from her tummy to her back and holds her head up super well. She is a champion nurser and sleeper. A really good baby, which is super nice to have:) We took her to church today for the first time. This is the little dress she wore...I loved showing her off!! She is beautiful.

MoUsE HuNT PaRt tWO:

So yesterday I was putting Lyla down and Evelyn was in her highchair eating lunch. I heard her yell "MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY"....so I left Lyla's room to see what was going on. She said there was a bug and kept pointing in the direction she saw it go. I asked her if it was a mouse...and she said yes. I dismissed the idea that she really did see a mouse. And we went on our day. Last night Trent got home from work and we wanted to unwind and watch a 24 episode together. 24 is very suspenseful...we were way into it. Then all of the sudden a mouse darts across our kitchen floor. (EVELYN WAS RIGHT!!) We both jump up to see where it went. Right into the vent....how do they squeeze like that....POOF it was gone. So Trent took off the vent, went downstairs, and put PB on it. All that work and staying up late and we still don't have the dang thing. Its too smart for us. Hopefully not for much longer. At least we know it isn't living in our couch anymore. Meanwhile I am constantly watching the vents and floor now.

House Guest....Not Welcome!!

The other day Trent noticed some potty-like stains under a cushions of our couch. Last night he noticed droppings from a mouse. OH GREAT!! We found a hole where we thought it was going in and out of. And think he would come out of it and run underneath the cushions and eat the many crumbs Evelyn loves to leave! So Trent got to work trying to find the dang thing. See, this saw he got out and was cutting up our couch and basically taking it apart. We heard scratching and a squeak. 3+ hours later no results but wood everywhere and one torn up couch. We have no idea what the heck happened, or where the thing could have been. We are sure of one thing it was a baby mouse, probably tiny. We don't know how long it has been a guest in our house. We got these couches from Ty and Annie and they had a bunch of baby mice in there house when they lived up here in Provo. We have never had one. So, the question is has this little guy been on a grand adventure by 1st living in Provo, then Logandale, the Provo again? We are unsure....Annie have any input on this???ha ha. So, right now the section of the couch where we know it was, (heard squeaking and scratching) is now outside on our porch. Trent doesn't know if he squished the little guy or if he is just an excellent hider. We set a trap of crumbs out on it...to see if any get eaten. Trent thinks if they don't we can still use that part of the couch cause it won't smell with the animal being so small. I don't want a mouse couch at all. We will see what the outcome is. All around last night was a pretty amusing one!!!

How Cute Are They?

These pictures were taken on our family outing to go feed the ducks on BYU campus. I was excited to put them in there matching outfits..but there is only 2 seconds to get any type of shot of them together. Well, at least I tried right? I think I got some fun ones. I love the one where Evelyn is kissing Lyla...how sweet!! Evelyn is loving being an older sister and gets really concerned when Lyla isn't happy.

MOMMA MIA!!

Our Evelyn nursing her baby doll. I was out for a 2 week checkup with my doctor when Trent snapped this. He said it was hilarious! We are pretty sure she will make a great mommy someday. It is amazing how she catches onto things now. She went and got the boppy and set this up all herself telling Trent that she needed to feed her baby.

Lets Compare Shall We??

Top photo Tara Esther Askeroth and Kendra Anne Askeroth at 2 months old. Bottom photo Sailor Anne Morris (4 months) and Lyla Jane Leavitt(2 weeks). What do you think, do we look like our mommies? We thought it would be fun to compare:)
To me Sailor is soo Kendra's daughter...but I don't see a ton of me in Lyla. One thing is for sure. They got the same coloring as their mommas. Lyla is dark....Sailor is very fair with light eyes! I have been jealous of Kendra's beautifuly colored eyes my whole life.
