Weekly Ten....AND GO!!

1)Went to the store and wanted to make it into the house with the groceries with one trip. holding lyla + 2 gallons of milk + lots of grocery bags= DISASTER. I dropped both gallens of milk when I walked in, and one broke and the whole gallon emptied out all over our carpet, it was fun fun.
2)Zumba'd my way to some fun Tues. night. Thank you Annie
3)Wed. killed my still sore body at my pilates class. Oh how i love love my workout scheduale during the week. It keeps me on my toes, and so so sore always.
4)Trent went hunting in Wyoming with his brother Tyson. They had Elk tags...Trent is lucky this is his last tag...cause i don't know if I would let him leave me again. It just is hard on my life. But, I should just be grateful he isn't always gone in Afganistan or something...RIGHT??
5)Evelyn got a visit from the Disney Princesses last night. They brought her this Arial piggy bank (that I got from my sister, I told Kylee that I wanted to get her one, and she reached up in her closet and gave me this bad boy, shhhhhhh). It made her so excited to go to Disneyland next week. I wanted to have a little fun!!
6)Thurs. after Trent left I got a call from my sis Kylee. I had to talked to her earlier in the week about maybe coming to stay with her in Cedar for a night. But, then I talked myself out of going. She talked me back into it. I grabbed the necessities and drove to Cedar. It was fun for a few hours until we were trying to put the kiddos down in her tiny, stuffy apartment. To make a long story short Kylee, I and our 3 kiddos got about 2-3 hours of sleep. Since Maddox was up crying it made the girls wake and every move Evelyn & I made on our air mattresses (which I think are awful by the way) made Lyla wake up. So, around 2 in the morning I opened the door to join Kylee with her un-asleep possee, yep we were exhausted and the kids were wide awake. We were frustrated but laughing about the whole thing. Kylee is making a wedding cake this next week for a couple from Logandale, so she needed to be down here. My car couldn't fit 3 car seats. So, Kylee's hubby Clinton worked his magic & fit them in their car. So we traded cars for a week and Kylee and I drove us and the kiddos back down to the valley. What a not fun, hard, long, are you kidding me...car ride. By the time we got home all of them had cried so so hard that Evelyn was asleep from all the drama, Lyla couldn't breathe and Maddox was well, not as emotional as the girls. Oh ya and I forgot to mention that we were supposed to stop in Mesquite so Kylee could get the supplies for the cake she was making, well....we missed the exit probably due to lack of sleep and restless/screaming kids. I don't think I have ever had such a hard 24 hours with the girls EVER!! Glad its over now.
7)While we were also in Cedar I got to meet my new little niece Claire Elise Askeroth. She comes from Isaac and Tiffany, she makes #3 for them. She looks like her daddy and got the Askeroth genes for sure. So sweet. She was crying in the photo and I was beaming.
8)This week it hit me....I HAVE A WONDERFUL LIFE, WITH A SWEET HUBBY AND TWO VERY SWEET GIRLS. MY MOM SAID I MUST HAVE SLIPPED SOME NICE POTION INTO EVELYN'S SIPPY'S OR SOMETHING BECAUSE SHE IS SO GREAT WITH LYLA AND TELLS TRENT AND I EACH THAT SHE LOVES US ABOUT 30 TIMES A DAY. WE ARE JUST EATING UP EVERY SWEET MOMENT WITH THESE TWO. HEAVENLY FATHER HAS BLESSED US SO MUCH!!
9)Today we went to Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt's to watch conference and spend quality time with them. It was fun and we had a nice visit. Then my mom and Kylee came over for dinner at our house. It was nice and helped me not be lonely with Trent being gone. I tried a new Rachel Ray recipe and then the kids took a bath together. It was fun. My mom and Kylee picked up the house while I took Evelyn to get milk with me at Maverik, plus I picked us up some treats. A great fun evening.
10)Have been loading up our new dishwasher nonstop and it is so flipping fabulous. Believe it or not dishes can come out clean, even at our house!!

The Weekly Ten :D

1)We still had the sickies this week. The girls had fevers and coughs for days. Trent got some type of flu. And I thought I was getting the flu again. But I never threw up, ugg please stay away from us now viruses or I will lose it.
2)Due to the sickies we had, I cancelled my Wed. night class and was very bummed because of it.
3)We picked out a new dishwasher Friday and hooked it up Sat. Oh it's so pretty and makes our old one look so so lame. I was grinning to the lovely sound of our new one tonight. We hope to pull out sparkling dished. Since Trent spent most of the day on his back installing the stinking thing. Way to go honey.
4)We also stopped by walmart Friday and I ran in to get dinner food. You see we usually have snacks and such, but not dinner food. Well now we have dinner food for at least a week.
5)We were dropping the dough this week. We also ordered a new computer desk, and a new HP computer, oh I really really can't wait for it. However I found out something went wrong with the order to HP and it didn't go through, so we have to reorder it tomorrow. Basically we got one mostly for my editing photos. Our computer now is just not cutting it. I would like to get more jobs and be able to keep up with the editing. It is gonna be so sweet.
6)We went to our niece Pheobe's 2nd bday party today. It was lots of fun to be around family and everything. The girls had fun with all the kids running around.
7)I entered a photo contest through Costco. First prize a $1,500 Costco card. Would be so awesome...Chances of me winning....NOT LIKELY IT'S AN INTERNATIONAL CONTEST. But it's worth a shot right?
8)I also entered a contest through MCP actions to win a new action photoshop set. Again not likely for me to win...but you gotta try in life.
9)I made the decision to grow my hair out again, (due to seeing this pic of me and Evelyn a while ago) or at least try to grow the pretty long hair I once had, we will see.
10)I got my pillow back that I left in Las Vegas at the Best Western, (that is why i am hugging it) Trent's brother Ty picked it up for me....oh man I was so grateful and slept like a baby that night.
*If I have to kill one more gynormous spider in my house, I am gonna be so grossed out. Our bedroom is by the door that leads to the garage, that leads to outside. Which means we get lots of cridders who try to make our home theirs. I have killed 3 really big wold type spiders and they have been alive as ever. yep....its bad. I will be calling our bug guy shortly. Hopefully before Lyla thinks one looks like a tasty snack....

Five Year Anniversary:)

How can it be five years?? Thats what I always say every year. Looking back on these five years have really been the best of my life. Married to the best man I know. Who is so sweet and the best daddy ever. And out of this marriage we brought 2 beautiful/healthy girls into the world. Having the opportunity to be parents has made us so happy. What a great happy life we have. We left the girls for basically the first time ever. The only time we left Evelyn overnight was when we had Lyla, yep it just didn't happen. And we didn't leave Lyla until now. THAT WAS SO NEEDED FOR TRENT AND I. MY MOM STAYED THE NIGHT WITH THE GIRLS WHILE WE HEADED TO VEGAS. We went to freemont street and well, the only cool thing there was these statue guys. Then we headed to the Stratosphere and road the big shot ride. It was awesome and so so scary/fun. then we ate at an italian restaurant at the hotel. It was lots of fun and really good. We headed to the Billagio Hotel and saw the botanical gardens and water show...its so incredible both of those. But after that we were done with the crowds of people and smoke and the type of people that hang out on the strip ya know. I just got sad at the quality of life those people live. The funny thing is they would probably say the same thing about my life. Because being a stay at home mom isn't thrilling to the world. But it is to me!! We wanted to save money by not staying on the strip so we got out the GPS and found a Best Western...but still has to pay $150 for a really crappy room. We were just so tired we didn't care anymore. And I left my amazing pillow in the room....ahhhh man u kidding me?? I almost cried I love it that much. I have spent so long trying to find the right pillow that works with me and then I leave it in a hole in Vegas. I hope to get it back because I called and got a hold of housekeeping and they didn't speak English/ of course...But wait...I have a spanish speaking hubby. And it worked they have it, now I just have to pick it up somehow.....Well enough with the drama. Thanks for five amazing years Trenton, I love you and our widdle Evelyn & Lyla so so much.

Kendra & Sailor...Payed Us A Visit!!

Kendra & Sailor wanted to visit the family so they got in the car and drove drove drove. Unfortunately they brought a bad bug as well. They got it while staying at her mother in laws house. But it hit everyone a few days after contact. But even though Lyla and I got sick, it was so fun to have them come play with us. And see our house here in Overton for the first time. We live just too far away from each other I just miss her so much. Thanks for making the trip down Ken.

Around The House Pics...

The Weekly Ten :D

1)Sunday night we realized that we didn't dodge the ball of catching the flu from my sister Kendra. Lyla was throwing up all night long....then I started in. Not as often but very violent and tough on my body. I wanted to die. I told Trent he had Lyla duty while I layed on the floor trying to survive. YUck.
2)Monday Trent stayed home from work to take care of the girls, because there was no way I could. I slept all day and threw up a total of 4 times. But, was just feeling ucky and achy most of the day.
3)Tues. I feel almost completely normal and I think we got this beat. Until, Lyla throws up while drinking her bottle of milk after her bath. SO SO MUCH CAME OUT. SO I RAN HER TO THE BATH AND HER AND EVELYN TOOK A SECOND BATH....WHAT IN THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE. I JUST KEPT PRAYING EVELYN AND DADDY WEREN'T GONNA CATCH IT.
4)Also Tues. Trent went with his parents and extended fam to the Las Vegas temple. His cousin Austrie went through tonight. She is heading out to her mission to Canada in Nov. I was bummed I couldn't go, but am glad I did because of what happened with Lyla!!
5)I ran over a toad and you know what they look like after you do that. I hate knowing I killed an animal...uck.
6)Also while I was driving I saw the coolest shooting star/meteor ever. It lasted for about 5 seconds and it was huge and green and pink. Amazing how small our little Earth is. It made my week.
7)Friday we celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary. How can that be?? Five years has flown by...and with two kids later who we never leave. We decided it was time to leave them overnight. We went to Vegas and road the Stratosphere big shot ride. It was really lots of fun, to do stuff and not worry about the girls. My mother in law & mom watched them. My mom graciously stayed overnight at our house for us. We also saw the Billagio water show and saw the gardens. We realized we were the only ones dressed down in the casinos as everyone was heading to clubs and to pick up some sleaseball. I like what Vegas has to offer, but hate that dirty, feel. As I was looking around at these people in casinos I felt sorry for how miserable they looked. I lead such an amazing life with my hubby, two kids, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ to guide me every step of the way.
8)Around 10 PM we were pooped and didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for a hotel on the strip. So, we got out our handy dandy GPS (we named her Gabby)and found a Best Western, it was ok, in not any means nice. Still too expensive if you ask me. And the worst thing... I forgot my amazing pillow that my dad just bought me and I fell in love with there. How could I be so airheaded. Some maid probably snatched it and is headed home now. How will I sleep tonight? SIGH.........
9)While we were up on the Stratosphere walking around the floor that has the windows. Trent and I got a taste of what the 9/11 victims felt like being up so high and helpless. And having to jump to their deaths and everything. How tragic really.
10)My mom said the girls did great while we were gone. It was really nice to get home to them. But, so nice to get a break as well. They really are good kids.

The Weekly Ten :D

1)Lyla just wasn't herself Monday with teething and to make matters worse, when I was taking off her shirt to put her in the bath she fell and hit her mouth right on the bathtub. She was bleeding so bad by her two top teeth, it was so so sad. And of course I felt awful.
2)A few days later Lyla fell and hit her top teeth again while we were at a friends house. And more blood and tears.
3)My twin sis finally came down from Logan to visit. And not knowingly brought the flu along with her. She got it from her mother in law, and so did Sailor, then passed it to Elliah, my brother Ty, my dad and now Lyla. Gotta h.a.t.e the family flu. And Lyla is so young and helpless. I am just praying Evelyn, Trent and I don't get it.
4)Needless to say we still had a very fun visit with Kendra...her and Sailor played at our house lots yesterday. Now we have the flu....
5)I worked out all week hard with my pilates class and my sister in law Annie's Zumba class. We make each other sore every time we go to the classes. It is fun to have another class around.
6)I did a fun shoot with my friend Stephanie Thornton. Her little girl Sawyer is turning one and she wanted to get some pics. We got some cute ones but had to end it because of the wind and we ran out of light. We'll finish it up later.
My mom had a yard sale and I found some great finds. I love me a good yard sale. I still buy VHS's cause we have a player. So before you throw any away you can always contact me. lol.
7)Trent worked in Vegas most of the week. I have to say I love having him work close to us in Overton and not come home so so tired everyday has its benefits. But, in the field Trent can make up to twice as much. So good and bad about both. I am sure the paycheck next week will be worth it.
8)I watched so many videos on 9/11 and preparing for the ten year anniversary this week. It really interests me. How can that be ten years ago? I remember when it happened I was a junior in high school and during my MVTV class. So devastating what happened to America that day. Bless all those affected who lost loved ones.
9)We ended the week with absolutely no food in our house. I am so sick of going to the grocery store. I am trying to make it to Costco this next week. We run out of stuff way too fast..mostly snacks if we don't go there every so often.
10)Dedicated a good chunk of the week to writing the Overton 4th wards Primary program that is in October. I am the first councilor and have to write the whole thing. It is a little tricky.

The Weekly Ten :D

1)Evelyn ran into the garage and touched a spider that was alive right on its back and said, "SPIDER" what the heck? this isn't my daughter.
2)We had a new niece that was born to my brother Isaac & sister in law Tiffany. I haven't met her yet but she is adorable. Claire Elise Askeroth looks like her daddy with her dark hair, eyes, and skin. Yay for Isaac that his genes came through on this one!! he he I think she was number 18 for the Askeroth grand child count...WOW!!
3)One of my very bestest friends Lizzy Hall also had her baby. Congrats to her and Zach. They live and Texas and I wish them well with thier new addition.
4)Got out on a date with my hubbs Friday night. We ran over to Mesquite and ate at Los Lupes, the food was soo good. Then we ran over to Walmart and did some shopping girl free.
5)Got a new phone in the mail, Verizon tried to give us the runaround and didn't want to give me a phone. But after a long period on the phone I now have one that works and texts. Not to mention it wsa free and we only had to pay $4 shipping. Chaching...thanks Trent.
6)Started up my pilates class again. Man it felt good to get back after 2 weeks. Also went to my sister in law Annie's zumba class, that was really good and fun. I have a hard time doing cardio on my own so this is perfect to have.
7)Evelyn decided to act like she is a teenager this week with her attitude. If I tell her to do something she doesn't want to do she raises her hands and screams NOOOOO. It's a little freaky actually. Only bound to get worse when she is a real teenager. Add Lyla into the mix...Yipee:/
8)Had the opportunity to fast today for the first time in well almost 2 years. It was really neat to get back into this habit. 24hours without food isn't easy. But its so amazing to go into it with a purpose in mind. It makes you realize what is important in life, and you can focus really well when your not eating. I am so grateful I have a husband who willingly fasts beside me 24 hours. It's neat to do it together.
9)Lyla is so busy now and into literally everything. She thinks I can read her mind when I can't yet. Because she can't tell me what she wants/needs. So the fit throwing begins....mini sessions all day long.
10)Were able to pay off my credit card after so long. Feels good to start fresh, but not for long because the girls need some more clothes, specifically Evelyn. She is growing so fast and we can't keep up.
