Family Photos for 2011

Our family pics are always a stressful time of year. i have to say i am more willing to put in the time for them when I get back down to my pre pregnancy size. Last year I had just had Lyla and well, didn't love them. This year I think they turned out fabulous. "When Mama Aint Happy, Nobody's Happy Right"?
I really love having two girls, they make life fun with all of the drama and stuff. I am so grateful for Trent, he is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Aren't we cute?

Weekly Ten..

1)I had the opportunity to go shopping with my sister Kylee and Elliah. We planned a sister trip up in Provo this weekend but due to a lot of things coming up, it just didn't work out. So we met up in St. George instead. Kylee and I were kid free but, Elliah met up with us with and without little Kinley. She is so stinkin cute. We shopped from 10:00-9:00. Longest shopping record for me. But, I promised myself I would not buy something unless I was in love with it. Cause I usually give in too easily and then don't like it about one month after I bought it. Kylee had the same goal in mind. We hit the sale racks in every store and found some Amazing deals.
Our first stop was Costco, I was able to get a few things, but due to the credit union being closed Friday and lack of planning we didn't have lots of money to use. Next Elliah met up with us at DI, ok, I got a sweet new chair for photography. But, it is sitting at Elliah's house because I drove my car yesterday. Can't wait to do a shoot with it. Sidenote* Why does every DI smell like infection, so gross. Then you look at the people in there, Kylee sat in a chair, and it had tons of dandruff or something, really really gross. Can they not clean up things a little bit more to present them for a sale? Things are way overpriced too. I payed $30 for a chair that would have been $10 or $5 at a yard sale.
Next we ate at Jimmy Johns, mmmmmmm mmmmmm. It was mall time where we spent the next 4-5 hours, but it was so fun to just do whatever and not worry about kiddos. My favorite part was trying to help each other put an outfit together. It makes so much difference with another girl like you sister there, Kylee and we have the same taste in clothing as well, so that was nice.
Next we hit up the outlet malls where we found basically nothing, Old Navy...another dissapointment, and last stop Target. Our legs were aching and aching, we were so tired and loaded up on sugary snacks to fuel us for the ride home. We both made it safely thank goodness.
2)My Amazing/Patient father in law Rodney fixed our heater finally. He had to run a new wire up, it was quite the process. It is so nice to have heat in here. I am currently thinking of how I can repay him.
3)Trent took the girls to a football game yesterday and he said they had a blast. Glad they got to do something fun while I was having fun.
4)Finished editing our family pics for the year. They turned out pretty good. I am just happy Austrie Messer was able to take them for us...thanks Aus, even though she won't read this due to her being on her mission...lol.

What You May/May Not Know About Me:

-I can make 3 loops with my tongue. I learned this task as I was in 3rd grade playing at recess. This boy looked at me and said oh ya- I can do 3 loops in my tongue, I said mee too tried it and I did it. Oh ya I was pretty proud for years. lol *
-I have a giographical tounge, the nurses told my parents when I was in the hospital that I have one that changes patters, weird.
-I have the rarest blood type AB negative and about 1% of the population has this blood type. My mom and I both.
-I have never and I mean ever experienced Deja Vu, yep people always talk about it but I haven't had that before, I promise.
-I have never and I mean ever been able to see the 3-D pictures Magic Eye when you stare hard at the picture and then it pops out at you, yep somethings wrong with me alright.
-I have never been asked to be a bridesmaid in anyone's wedding besides my sisters. Yep, girls usually get to brag about how many they have been in, not I. I don't take it too personal though.
-I love the smell of Moapa Valley High School. I have past and still do present. How do they get my old school to smell like that? Can they make a Moapa Valley High School candle scent?? I would buy it. ha ha.
-Everywhere I go, I dream about photo shoots. I am constantly scanning both sides of the road I am on to find a new place I can shoot. And usually envision what I would do there.
-I am a exercise junkie. I can't live with out it. It makes me feel sexy, and powerful. Not to mention in control of my life and what is thrown in my path. It is my out. This is why I teach pilates, if I don't do it I get the grumpies yesiree. lol
-I loved being a cheerleader growing up but don't really want my daughters to when they grow up. I think the main reason is because of how unsafe it is now. With stunting and all. They can really do any sport they want, I will try to not discourage from what they dream to be:)
-I am a huge fan of my kiddos sleep schedule and I would be so lost without the Sleep Sense program I do, it has really saved me. Thanks to the wonder woman who came up with it. I know I did something right when my girls run to their rooms in excitement when I say its bedtime...cha-ching!! Worth all the effort.
-I am a clean freak in my head but the effort doesn't really show much in my house. Oh gads how I try to keep up on it. It is really hard to pick up every little thing. I wish I could pull off the magical power my sister in law and brother Isaac have to keeping a clean house...oh wait Isaac does a huge load of it...hello?? lol
-I know that I can't change this about myself but, I really wish I could deliver a baby without a c-section. I never imagined my pelvis would be too small to push a baby out, but I think it is. Both Evelyn and Lyla came out with squished noses, due to the fact that their face is sqeezed in my pelvis. After my last surgery, I am terrified of going under the knife again, to recover again...it is so aweful. However I am so grateful to be blessed to have 2 beautiful children. If I would have lived in pioneer days I would died durning childbirth, so that is grand I didn't:)

Heard Around The House:

Evelyn:
-"Guess what Snow White did yesterday? She threw up"!
-"Amy's playing in my room, Me-Can I talk to her? Ya Sure"
-Me Doing My Business, (TMI). Ev: "Mom Amy has to go poo-poo too, hurry!!!"
-As Trent is putting her in time out, "I'm not getting into trouble right now". (Trent and I don't know what to do with this child).
-While I was putting on my makeup/ "Amy gets to wear makeup. Me- Really, how old is she? Ev:4 and she has 3 kids too. Me:I didn't know that was possible."
-While I am curling her hair for our family pictures "Amy told me to cut my hair, and then I told her that I wouldn't because it would make you sad, so I didn't". Me: Thats my girl!!
*Lets just say this Amy thing might be pushing me over the edge a little bit.

Weekly Ten:)

1)I think I have really lost my mind this time. I headed to Mesquite to hit up Walmart with the girls the other day. Everything was dandy then, I checked my phone once we got into the store. Guess what? We had a primary presidency meeting at my house I totally spaced. How could I forget this? It was written on my calender and I talked about it the night before. After this blow, I went to the multivitamin section of Walmart and was looking for some brain memory miracle. The only one I found was $30 and for Adults 55 years and up. Ahh shucks..
2)Attempted to take some family photos...we might have got one shot all together....it's just so hard, because I have this vision in my head on what we could do, and it never ever turns out that way. Sigh.
3)Our heater has not been working, so we had someone come look at it. Come to find out we don't have a heater. Only some type of heating in the ceiling, in only our family room and our exercise room not anything in the rest of the house, LOVELY AINT IT?? UGG
Guess we'll be freezing this winter.
4)Found our from my sister in law who previously lived in our home, that our house does have a heater. (insert confused face here)
5)Attended a stake baptism for primary. Saw my friend Felicia May and didn't get a chance to say hello. So Felicia if your reading this I saw you with all your adorable kiddos and you looked so pretty with your long dark hair. Wish I could have said hi!
6)Showed up to my pilates class Sat. and didn't have the key to get into my closet that I have ALL OF MY EQUIPTMENT in. So here I have 2 new people and no music, mats, nada. It was aweful. But thanks to my wonderful sister in law Annie Curtis Leavitt I had music for half of my class, and a mat to use as well. Thanks again:)
7)After using Annie's new sound system I am now dreaming about getting a smaller/similar system to hers. Lacking funds at the moment however.
8)I am all set up for photos now. We have a new fast computer, I have Photoshop Cs5 and Lightroom 3. Bring on the editing now world. I can do it at lightning fast speed and the new software is the cherry on top.
9)Just heard my sis in law Taryn hit black ice tonight driving back to Provo. Her and the guy who was riding with her are ok. However the car has got some damage. Whenever I think about being in situations like this, my stomach drops. I hate car accidents, close calls and all that jazz. It takes me back to when I was in 8th grade and my mom got in a very serious roll over accident, totaled the car, and we almost lost her. Scary stuff Glad your ok Tarbear, we love you lots!!
10)Received a whole elk in my freezer from my hubby hunting. And he is happy about it, me not so much. I eat chicken, turkey and sometimes pork and beef. But, 95% of the time I think I could be a vegetarian it just doesn't appeal to me so much.
11)We were eating dinner at Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt's and Trent ran to our house to get a propane tank. When he came back he grabbed the tank and was unloading it when our 3 1/2 yr. old ran up to see daddy. His swung to get it out and hit Evelyn right on the side of the head, ouch. She was really screaming, he felt so bad. For a minute we all thought she might have a concusion but she was ok. The skin broke a little bit.

Halloween 2011

Our Halloween was a smash this year. Evelyn was a Princess Evelyn, her dress was made by my mother. The best part is...my mom made it from my Homecoming dress Senior year...even better....Trent escorted me that year. HOW COOL IS THAT? I love love it. She is so amazing at anything she makes. I would have payed $60 plus bucks for a dress like that at Disneyland, and they fall apart easily. Lyla got voted to dress up as Snow White, she didn't have a choice it was the only costume we had. I think she fit her perfectly though. We started off our night with a photoshoot from muah then went trick or treating at: Great Grandma & Great Grandpa Leavitt's, Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt's, The Messers, Great Grandma & Grandpa Adams, Then Grammy & Papa Askeroth's. After that we headed to Blake & Denna Anderson's for their annual Halloween bonfire celebration. This is something I grew up doing in my neighborhood and I love still doing it. The girls were pooped and we have WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY TOOOOOOO MUUUUUUUUCCCHHH CANDY LEFT. SINCE WE DIDN'T GET ANY TRICK OR TREATERS AND TRENT BOUGHT WAY TOO MUCH. COME WED. I WILL BE BRINGING THIS LEFT OVER CANDY TO MY CLASS...YEPPERS!! HOPE YOUR HALLOWEEN WAS JUST AS GREAT.

My new website that I have been working on for many hours is complete. I honestly love photography so much. It's a huge part of who I am. Even though my life is crazy with kids, and my pilates class I have got to keep shooting. Let me know if you are interested in having a shoot done. In the meantime check out my website, tell me what you think. http://taraspurebliss.com/
