We got to inherit these from Trent's brother Ty and his wife Annie. They couldn't fit them into their house, so we snatched them right up. When we got all of them into our front room, it took at least a 1/2 hour for us to figure out how to fit them. I spent hours and hours taking the covers off the cushions. Plucking out duck feathers that were stuck inside....then through them into the washing machine. They are about 6 years old I think...so I figured it was time to make them nice and fresh again.
Oh was all that hard work worth it. Trent, Evelyn and I can't seem to get off of them. And they really help the look of our home. So, thanks to Rod & Camille for giving them to Ty & Annie, & Ty & Annie for giving them to us.
Our old ones came with our house and had really bad water stains on them. This is such a treat for us. Now if we could only get our butts off of it now..lol. I am really soaking it all in being hugely prego though.

Lyla's Room

So...I finally finished Lyla's room. About time...I love the way it turned out though. I am very grateful we have another room to put her in. I had to get a new crib set, even though Trent thought I was silly. I think he is happy I did now. I have used bright colors in both of the girl's rooms. I love girl stuff and going all out with decorating. Hooray for pink!! I made the "all girl" sign. My sister Kylee was going to do it, then she got crazy busy with getting ready for Maddox to come, (plus on bed rest). My mom made this darling Lyla banner & pillow that is on the rocking chair. I also made the photo frames as well. We didn't exactly have a full closet so, we put up this closet rod over the washer/dryer. Now we just need our Lyla...oh can't wait.

Evelyn Built A Friend....
A few weeks ago Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt took Evelyn to Build A Bear for the first time. She really had fun in there. She wasn't really focused on the one she was creating, just all the stuff to touch. So, I was left to pick out everything. Talk about choices, choices...I was getting a little overwhelmed ha ha. I had lots of fun dressing the bear and everything. Thanks for taking her Rod & Camille!! She takes this bear everywhere and into every store...its pretty cute. She says the bear's name is Lyla.

Heard Around The House:)
So I have seen how mothers post funny things that their kids say around the house. I wanted to give this a whirl too, so I can remember these in the future.
IN THE KITCHEN: (all on separate days)
me: looking in the fridge looking what to make for dinner, Evelyn we have no food, what happened to it?? Did you eat it all?
Evelyn: No Daddy Eat It!!
me: Evelyn eat your peas too please....
Evelyn: pointing to my plate of food...Mommy eat your food.
me: Evelyn don't drink all your milk before your dinner is ready ok?
Evelyn: mommy cook, mommy cook food.
me: (making the grocery list) she pointed to it and said...Mommy milk K:)

Thanks for supporting us as a family and trying so hard at school and work. I know it's gotta be tough so much of the time. I couldn't ask for a better person to raise a family with. Evelyn's 1st Smooch!!
Yesterday we drove up to Logan, UT for my niece Sailor's baby blessing. It was very fun to see my parents and Kendra & her little family. She also had some of her friends who came. One was this couple that had two little boys. The oldest one was named James and he was 3. So he starts following Evelyn around. Then, getting in her face. I sat her on a chair to fix her hair before their sacrament meeting. He came up to her and was talking to her.....I was parting her hair so wasn't watching everything that was going on. But, next think I knew he was kissing my 2 year old right smack on the lips. Yes, my friends its true. I didn't really know what to do...I thought it wouldn't last long until it DID...about a minute. And after about 10 seconds Evelyn just sat there...frozen. We were all just watching...it was cute, but at the same time...I was like wait a minute this is my 2 year little girl...buddy. Come back when she is graduated and you have served a mission. It was pretty funny though. Thought I would share it on my blog to document it. I know she is very beautiful and we have many years of fighting off boys from her....but I am not ready for that yet...lol.
