A Few More Changes...

So, I know I just posted about Evelyn's room but I added a few more things that really finished it off nicely. I replaced her pink and brown curtains with aqua and white ones. I love what this did....really made the room let in a lot more light and now it goes better with her bedding. We bought this flower lamp at IKEA for $10 and its really cool. The cord is the stem and goes up the wall. She loves turning it on before we read books and sing songs at bedtime. And this adorable hair clip holder my sister Kylee made me. I have seen her make similar things like this so I asked her if she would be willing to make one for Evelyn. I L-O-V-E it thanks Kylee its perfect. Now that Evelyn's is done....I can start on the one for our next girl. It should be fun...I have so much fun decorating for girls.

We Met Sailor

I have done lots lately that I have wanted to post about...but I am going to be honest. I have been so tired and its been crazy. Trent, Evelyn, and I finally made our trip up to Logan to see Kendra and meet little Sailor. She is a doll, and looks just like Kendra did as a baby. I think she was excited to meet her favorite aunt:)I didn't want to leave her. It made me very excited to have another little girl though. Evelyn didn't really know what to think of her. I have to say Kendra and I were brave to want to be in a picture. We both didn't feel very cute. Not to mention my face is getting thicker. But, I am glad we took a photo so we could document the trip. It sure is a sacrifice on your body to have babies but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Look what you get from it!!

DATE NIGHTS!!

Trent and I have finally been able to go on some much needed dates lately. About a month ago we went to Outback Steakhouse cause we had a gift card to there. Trent had helped pull a kids jeep out of the snow at 11PM one night. He gave us the gift card as a thank you. Last night we went and grabbed some food from the Pita Pit and drove up Provo Canyon. We stopped at Bridal Veil Park and put a blanket out to eat. It was such a fun evening and we had a great time just talking. Going on dates is so great because it makes us remember each other and how in love we still are. Thanks Trent I love you honey:)

Evelyn's BIG GIRL ROOM!!

Since we needed our crib for baby #2 we moved Evelyn to this twin bed about a week ago. It has a sentimental meaning because Trent grew up on this bed. We are talking from as long as he can remember until we got married. Ya...I laugh at that thought because he was kinda big for it. His head hit the headboard and toes his the foot board. We are happy we were able to get this bed and for free. Evelyn adores it I must say. She had a hard time the first couple of nights cause it was a huge change for her. But, she has been sleeping excellent in it (naps included). We find her just laying on it throughout the day. And we tell her she is such a big girl for sleeping in her big girl bed. See, the trick with getting your kids to sleep well....BEING PERSISTENT. Which isn't an easy thing to do but so worth it. I would never be able to keep my sanity without the sleep program I do for Evelyn. She is so happy cause she gets sleep, and when she doesn't beware, she is one tough cookie. If anyone is interested the program I use is called Sleep Sense. www.sleepsense.net. Check it out if you have problems with your kids sleeping..it saved me when Evelyn was six months old.
I also love this toy storage system we got at IKEA, and her table and chair set is from their too, but I painted it. I have been doing tons of projects for both of my girls rooms lately. I have to say I love crafts, and can really get into them. They are pricey though. Her bed set we got from Kmart and the owls are so cute.

A Shout Out!!

I just wanted to do a congrats post for my twin sis & Sterling becoming parents!! Her and Sterling do some good work:)This is Sailor Ann Morris, isn't she adorable? I think she looks a lot like Kendra. It is so exciting that Kendra has this beautiful little girl. I am very excited to be having another girl cause Kendra had one. Also I bought Sailor an outfit to match my baby girl...cause they have to be twins in just one picture. Kendra, I am so glad she is here, and that your labor is over with. Way to be strong the whole way through!! I love you and can't wait to meet your "minnie me".

Easter & Evelyn:)

The Two P's....

Since Sat. Evelyn has 2 favorite new things. Her P-P-P-Potty (Evelyn says my p-p-p-potty)and her Pony. She got the pony for Easter. The p-p-p-potty was bought sat. at walmart. I was reading in a book about some signs that some kids might show they are ready to be potty trained. Trent and I thought it would be a good idea to get her used to the idea of a p-p-p-potty. I don't know how ready she really is...but I think she is off to a great start. Saturday night she didn't want to get off of it. It is her new throne so to speak. And she just adores it. Carries it all over the house, running around half naked sitting on her p-p-p-potty. Well, Easter Sunday she was sitting on it in the bathroom and said mom potty. I looked down and sure enough she had gone potty after having it for only two days. Then I was doing her hair and she said "mommy potty", I asked if she needed to go and she said uh huh. So I put her on the potty again. She was killing brain cells trying to push some out...ha ha. Then she stood up by her potty and went on the bathroom floor next to her potty. So that is her progress so far. We like that she is getting used to the idea of using a potty. However i am sure she will prefer to be naked from now on. Which is a little more work with accidents and all. I am sure it will be a while before she is officially potty trained. Way to be a big girl Evelyn...we love you.
