OUCH HONEY!!!

Trent came home Friday night with this little number!! Ya, he was playing at his BYU intamurals soft ball team. He got it while sliding into second base. Well, at least he got safe. I asked him if he thought it was worth it...and he said it was fun. Wow I gotta hand it to guys, they are pretty tough when it comes down to stuff like this. I would have complained nonstop if I got this. However, in the long run girls win, we get the monthly gift from mother nature. And have children. I know a guy couldn't handle any of that!! Sorry all you men out there, but its true.

So Much Fun!!

I think this is the funnest age with Evelyn so far. She sure is an independent little thing. What she loves to do lately:
1- Swimming, blowing bubbles and putting her face in, has no fear of water.
2- Playing outside, she is so fast, we really have to watch cause she runs right to the sidewalk and by our busy street. Can now walk down the sidewalk by herself around our whole block. I wonder how far she would walk if we let her.
3- Eats graduates lil' cruchies cheetos like they are going out of style.
4- To play with her cousins down the street. Or any other kid that will give her attention.
5- Giving daddy kisses and running to him the second she knows he is home. Is turning into a real daddy's girl.
6- Dancing you put on music and she gets down. Running in circles is her latest move.
7- Watches a Blues Clues DVD every morning. I just have to say Blues Clues and she runs to the TV and screams with excitement.
8- Pulling out her hair, mom fixes it, she pulls it out. We go through this ritual daily.
9- Reading books, she is always handing them to us to read to her. Its really adorable.
10- Her stuffed elephant Rosebud. She cuddles it to sleep. And throws it on the ground when she wakes up. When I go to get her she says uh-oh and points to Rosebud on the floor.

DOCTORS ORDERS!!

So we took Evelyn to her new doctor on Monday at BYU. She told us that Evelyn is in the 10th percentile for weight right now. Not so good. Her words were" I want you to give her as much icecream as she will eat. They can afford to eat it but just not us adults." So, all this week we have been trying to feed her more food in general. But, the bad thing about the icecream is I spoon feed it to her, which also means I am inhaling it. Not so good. Plus I am lactose intolerant so double not so good. Hope I can get the pounds to show up on Evelyn and not on myself!!

Great 4th Of July:)

For the 4th some of Trent's family came up and we had a barbeque at Ty & Annie's house. It was lots of fun. Evelyn played with her cousins in the sprinklers and fell and scraped her knees pretty good. It was a fun holiday though. Hope everyones was good!!

Did I Mention??

Yes, this is OUR GARDEN...growing in our back yard. Trent and I decided to plant one this year. Cause the soil is so great up here. We really had no idea how to grow a garden. But, apparently we did something right. We planted yellow squash, peas, carrots, & one tomato plant. Everything has grown pretty good except for the peas. And we have tons of weeds that need to be pulled. But, I can say I love being a gardener, & hope to do it in the future.

MY OBSESSION!!!

Whoa I get chills just looking at this picture. (Amazing photography by the way...love the use of water.THIS SHOW ROCKS SO MUCH!! I just can't believe people can dance like that. It's truly amazing. Secretly I wish I thought I could dance. I got hooked on this show last summer right after Evelyn was born. I am afraid I will be watching every season intently. American Idol is good...but this show is something else. If you haven't seen it you just gotta!!

Our Favorite Things About Summer!!

I am pretty conviced that nothing is more refreshing than a good piece of cold watermelon. Evelyn is also conviced. We eat this just about every day. But, its just a guessing game at the store. Hate it when you don't get a good one. But, when you do, it's amazing. lol By the way this isn't anyone I know in the picture. It's just a random google one.

Seven Peaks Water Park. We are so close to it. Got season passes and haven't been dissapointed. Evelyn and I live there and go just about every day if the weather is nice. We are both getting really tan from it as well. She deffinetly has my dark skin. I wish I had photos of us but there is no way I could take any. Evelyn is like a little fish. She loves the water and isn't scared at all. In fact I am conviced she thinks she can swim. She sure does keep me busy there. We have lots of fun though.

Nothing beats the green grass up here in Provo. It's so fun to have a big yard full of grass. I also love the view out our front window of Kiwanis Park with endless grass. I don't know how I will ever leave this place...Sigh...
