My New Hair...

I chopped off my hair tonight...yep I was so fed up with it. My good friend Amy cut it for me. And she did an amazing job. Done very well:D Thanks Amy, its just what I wanted. I love the healthy feel after a short haircut.

LYLA 8 MONTHS:

This is a little late but I still wanted to do a 8th Month Post For Lyla:
-She crawls like she is the Energizer Bunny...Just keeps going & going.
-She is attached to mommy's hip....wants me all the time.
-Is trying to talk in her own language.
-I have tried to do her hair in this one curl on top of her head. She gets more hair everyday.
-Can say mama and usually says it while she is crying/crawling towards me. It's super sweet.
-Giggles lots and dies laughing when i change her poopy diaps.
-Follows Evelyn all over the house.
-Stands up in her crib.
-Can pull herself from crawling position to standing.
-Loves her bath more than ever!!
-Will eat any chance she gets. Loves solid food and her baby Gerber cheetos.

Lately Pics

Evelyn with Grace Leavitt at Penn & Nancy BBQ. We tried to get them to hug but no luck, they don't really know each other anyways. She fell in mud so Trent took her pants off. I forgot to bring her more pants from my mom. Poor girl. She eventually got pants from Nancy. ha ha

Reading a parenting magazine....

I currently find these two following each other all around the house.

She found this hat and wouldn't take it off. I think she is ready for spring.

My lovely Desitin Mask...before you say eeewww try it for yourself. Desitin Creamy diaper rash cream, 10 minutes and wipe off with a dry towel...heavenly:D

This is how Lyla likes to sit lately. She bounces and hops like this too.

The front end of Trent's Mustang, oh ya he is hard working at it. Sawing it in half.

Evelyn's First Smore....she liked it but only took a teeny bite. I don't complain she doesn't inhale sweets.

The famous hug or Holding Lyla as Evelyn says that we see daily.

Playing a game with Daddy

Daddy is a jungle gym and a bed.

She Loves Daddy

She Looks Like Daddy

Making Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Lyla loves her bath, and pink ducky she gets to sit in.

My cousin Kaitlin and I. She came up to have her engagement photos taken by me.

Evelyn with her new blocks I found at a yard sale. She loves them.

Every time Lyla gets to play around only in her diaper Evelyn wants to do the same.

The Weekly Ten :D

1)Our king size bed sheets got holes in them. We got them as a wedding gift. So, I decided it was time for new ones. Bought some 350 count ones at Walmart Egyptian Cotton and was trilled. Washed them and put them on our bed. Holy scratchy scratchy I paid $50 bucks for these. I was tossing and turning all night on them. I took them back the next day. My mom had these amazing sheets on her guest bed and I loved them. Got the brand and headed to K Mart. That 600 count Egyptian Cotton King set was a whopping $80. I never wanted to spend that much. THEY ARE SO AMAZING AND SOFT. I am looking for excuses to crawl into bed when ever I can. Worth every single penny!!
2)Little miss Lyla is pulling herself up to standing all the time. Not to mention she is so extremely attached to me right now. I leave the room, cries while crawling towards me, follows me all around the house this way. When I am present she almost always wants me. Evelyn wasn't that in love with me. Its pretty sweet though.
3)Evelyn won't leave Lyla alone. Takes every toy or anything she is playing with right away. I knew this was coming as soon as Lyla started to crawl. Grabs her legs and drags her while Lyla is on her tummy. Oh yes its getting pretty annoying my friends.
4)We had Taylor, Taryn, and Haley Leavitt over for dinner. We ate Spaghetti & meatballs, asparagus, and garlic bread. With pumpkin chocolate chip muffins for desert, YUM. What a fun, lovely time we had. Haley Leavitt is a dear family friend. I worked for her mother Debby as her assistant. She is the best photographer I know. And I learned sooo much by her letting me follow her around for a year & 1/2.
5)Trent quit work and is loving not working for now at least. I love having him at home while I put the girls down and spending our nights together. Onto Wheelers Electric soon.
6)I have been packing, packing as much as I can. Man we have stuff and I have made a few DI dropping off Trips as well.
7)Took my cousin Kaitlin's engagement photos. They drove up from Mesa, AZ. I think it was a 10 hour drive, just to have me take their pics. Luckily it wasn't snowing or raining when we did it. I found some fun new locations for me.
8)Trent got some moles on his neck removed that I always cut while shaving his neck. Good old doc Greg Neilson that used to be from Logandale did it. It was fun seeing him again.
9)Took Lyla to the doc to see if she had an ear infection. Negative, healthy as a horse. And weighs 7 lbs less than her sister Evelyn. Lyla is at 20 1/2 lbs. and Evelyn at 27. ha ha
10)Went to stake conference, well at least tried to go. We used to have it in the Provo Tabernacle, but since it burned down we had to relocate. We met in some old theater on BYU campus. It was awful to bring kids. If one cried it echoed and I had to try to nurse Lyla sitting on the toilet in a bathroom stall. We made it maybe 30 min. before we realized it just wasn't worth the effort and came home to put Lyla down. A for effort right?

IN ONE MONTH FROM TODAY...

TRENT WILL OFFICIALLY GRADUATE FROM BYU AND THE NEXT DAY WE WILL BE DRIVING OURSELVES AND ALL OF OUR BELONGINGS DOWN TO LOGANDALE, NV. WHERE WE WILL BE LIVING FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES. TRENT WAS BORN IN ST. GEORGE, UT AND RAISED IN LOGANDALE. MY FAMILY MOVED FROM PINETOP, AZ WHEN I WAS 10 TO LOGANDALE FOR MY DAD TO GO INTO CHIROPRACTIC BUSINESS WITH HIS BROTHER JESS. IT IS A LOVELY PLACE TO RAISE A FAMILY AND WE ARE VERY EXCITED. HOWEVER I AM GETTING SAD OUR TIME IN PROVO IS COMING TO AN END. HERE IS WHAT WE WILL MISS AND WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TOO.
WHAT WE WILL MISS ABOUT PROVO:
1)THE WONDERFUL BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAINS
2)HOW GREEN IT IS HERE
3)THE ENDLESS LOCATIONS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOTS, UTAH COUNTY ROCKS WITH BEAUTY.
4)OUR MARRIED-STUDENT WARD AND ALL OF THE FRIENDS WE ARE LEAVING BEHIND. BUT, EVERYONE MUST LEAVE SOMETIMES. MOST OF OUR CLOSEST FRIENDS HAVE ALREADY MOVED ON.
5)HOW ABOUT THE WONDERFUL SEASONS HERE, SPRING IS OH SO HEAVENLY, SUMMER IS DOABLE, & FALL IS GORGEOUS.
6)HAVING STORES CLOSE BY, WHEN I NEED THEM. WHEN WE FIRST MOVED UP HERE, TRENT AND I WENT CRAZY SHOPPING. WE LOVED HAVING STORES AT OUR FINGERTIPS. IT HAS BEEN NICE THESE PAST 4 YEARS TO HAVE THAT.
7)OUR CUTE HOUSE, AND THE LOCATION OF IT. KIWANIS PARK HAS BEEN SO FUN TO HAVE RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET. EVELYN HAS LOVED IT. WE ALSO HAVE NICE LARGE WINDOWS AND A KILLER VIEW.
8)ALL THE WALKS WE ARE ABLE TO GO ON HERE. THE TREE STREET NEIGHBORHOODS ARE LOVELY FOR A MORNING/AFTERNOON STROLL.
9)THE HEALTH CARE WE HAVE RECEIVED HERE. AFTER HAVING TWO BABIES UP HERE. I HAVE REALLY LOVED MY OBGYN DR. HARWARD& THE GIRLS PEDIATRICIAN DR. ADAMS. EVERYONE IS SO NICE THAT IN THEIR CLINICS AND EVERYTHING. IT REALLY MAKES ME SAD TO LEAVE MY DOC BEHIND. HE HAS BEEN AMAZING AND TRIED TO MAKE ME FEEL SO COMFORTABLE ABOUT HAVING
C-SECTIONS AND EVERYTHING. THANKS KORY! (BTW I HAD A DREAM THE OTHER NIGHT WHERE WE HAD ANOTHER GIRL AND I WAS ABLE TO PUSH HER OUT, NO C-SECTION AND MY RECOVERY WAS DIVINE AT LEAST I GOT TO EXPERIENCE HOW IT WOULD FEEL IN MY DREAM RIGHT?)
10)A GYM CLOSE BY....ITS REALLY EASY TO WORK OUT AND STAY IN SHAPE WITH ONE.
11)BYU IT HAS BEEN A GREAT SCHOOL FOR TRENT TO BE A PART OF. OUR WALKS TO THE WILK AND GOING TO THE BOOKSTORE, THE BEAN MUSEUM.
12)HAVING A TEMPLE 5 MINUTES AWAY. WHAT A BLESSING IT HAS BEEN TO HAVE ONE CLOSE.

WHAT WE LOOK FORWARD TO IN LOGANDALE:
1)NO SNOW....HOORAY!!
2)TRENT HAVING A REAL JOB, AND BEING ONE OF THE FEW HE IS GRADUATING WITH IN CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT WITH A JOB WAITING FOR HIM. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL FOR THE OPPORTUNITY THAT IS BEFORE US.
3)ACTUALLY MAKE MONEY INSTEAD OF LIVE FROM PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK. I KNOW WE WILL HAVE LOTS MORE TO PAY FOR BUT IT WILL BE BETTER.
4)OUR VERY OWN PLACE THAT WE WILL OWN. TRENTS PARENTS INHERITED THIS LAND WHEN HIS DAD TOOK OVER THE WHEELERS ELECTRIC COMPANY. ELMER WHEELER WHO ROD WORKED FOR BUILT THE HOUSE WE ARE MOVING TOO. IT HAS 2 BEDROOMS BUT WE ARE ADDING ON 2 MORE ROOMS AND AN ENTRYWAY. PLUS IT HAS TONS OF STORAGE AND A HUGE GARAGE. CHA-CHING IN TRENT'S EYES. HA HA. WE WILL PROBABLY BE THIS HOUSE FOR 2-5 YEARS. THEN HOPEFULLY WE WILL BE ABLE TO START BUILDING OUR HOUSE ON OUR LAND. WE REALLY CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT.
5)MY PILATES CLASS. I AM REALLY SO EXCITED TO GET GOING IN TEACHING THIS AMAZING FORM OF EXERCISE. SINCE I WON'T HAVE A GYM, I GOTTA GET GOING ON MY OWN. WHAT BETTER WAY TO DO THAT THAN TO TEACH A CLASS. I HAVE BEEN SPENDING LOTS OF MULA TO GET READY FOR IT. HOPEFULLY IT TURNS OUT WELL AND PEOPLE COME. (HINT TO ANYONE READING THIS...PLEASE COME)
6)I AM HOPING TO OFFICIALLY START MY PHOTOGRAPHY BUSINESS AS WELL. I HAVE AN NEW NAME FOR IT THAT I AM NOT REALLY TELLING ANYONE YET. I AM EXCITED TO GET GOING IN THAT SOON. WE WILL SEE WITH WHAT TIME I HAVE LEFT TO DO THAT WITH. HMM
7)WE CAN'T WAIT TO NOT HAVE TO TRAVEL BACK AND FORTH FROM PROVO TO LOGANDALE FOR HOLIDAYS. AND NOT STAY AT EVERY ONE'S HOUSE. WE CAN BE AT OUR HOUSE. WE CAN DO CHRISTMAS THERE, IT WILL BE LOVELY INDEED.
8)EVEN THOUGH ITS TOUGH BEING IN THE SAME TOWN AS BOTH OUR FAMILIES. THERE IS ALSO A PLUS SIDE TO BEING ABLE TO SEE THEM WHENEVER WE WANT, HOW MUCH WE WANT. WE ARE SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE BOTH SETS OF PARENTS THERE.
9)TO RAISE OUR FAMILY IN THIS LOVELY COMMUNITY. THE CHURCH IS STRONG AND THERE ARE VERY GOOD PEOPLE THERE.
10)DRIVING IN THE VALLEY....UTAH DRIVERS = AWFUL, STUPID, IRRESPONSIBLE. ITS THE TRUTH FOR MOST OF THE PEOPLE. PLUS NO STOP LIGHTS OR TRAFFIC FOR THE MOST PART IN LOGANDALE.
11)TRENT IS LOOKING FORWARD TO THE HILLS AND FOURWHEELING POSSIBILITIES.
12)THE AMAZING SUNSETS AND SUNRISES.
13)MOST IMPORTANT I WILL GET CHIROPRACTIC TREATMENTS WEEKLY FROM MY DADDY. MY NECK HAS REALLY MISSED HIM UP HERE IN UTAH.

The Weekly Ten :D

1)We went and picked out carpet in Mesquite for our place in Logandale. (Also picked out counter tops but don't know when we will be able to do that). We have been unable to clean our nasty carpet in Provo due to someone not sealing the floor beneath that carpet....hello!! Who was the dummy that did that? N-E ways we are not going to stand for crappy carpet anymore. If we will be in this house for a while before we are able to build we want it nice. We found a beauty on sale, and they are supposed to measure our place today. Yay!!
2)Lyla Jane turned 8 months old. Can't believe it. She is attached to me by the hip lately. I can't leave the room and she wants me to hold her at all times. Sometimes its hard to get stuff done but I love it. She digs her face into my chest and just sits there. This is my most favorite thing of all. I can't get enough of her cuddles with mommy. She is so sweet.
3)Evelyn is at a point where I can feel she is officially POTTY TRAINED!! Hooray, all the hard work payed off. I am pleased we got her to this point before she turned three. Trips are oh so fun now, helping her go potty on the side of the road. Hey, at least she isn't going in her pants.
4)We bought a sweet hot pink Wii controller Evelyn and I picked out and got Wi-Fi which is amazing to have.
5)Got a visit from a very dear friend, Chelsea Greaves yesterday. It had been way to long and was so great for her to see how the girls have grown and get some much needed girl talk in. Love you Chels!
6)Got to show our house to a couple that will most likely become the new renters for a while. The girl was average height but her hubby was 6'6. Wowzers, he had to duck his head in order to walk into the other rooms. I haven't seen someone have to do that since my Grandpa Askeroth passed away. He was also 6'6. SO TALL RIGHT? And he used to be taller and be an amazing basketball player. Miss him and his wonderful one on one talks. It's was his b-day yesterday.
7)Attended our ward Relief Society's yearly birthday dinner last night. It was so nice to get out by myself and be with other sisters. The RS program is really awesome and I am so grateful for it. I am very grateful for visiting teaching and how much we help each other out. It has been really fun being in this married student ward for these past 4 years. We have made sooo many friends and it was a great break from the traditional family ward. You are all in the same boat with school and kids. Its so easy to associate with other couples. On to the Overton 4th family ward for the rest of our lives soon. We are excited for the changes moving will bring.
8)I bought and received Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld from ebay. It is the best cook book I have ever opened. It teaches not only how to incorporate veggies and fruits into every day meals, but how to get your kids to eat raw fruits and veggies better. Can't wait to dive into the whole thing, & get moving!
9)Trent had 2 more days of working at Autozone...and so close to being done with school. And since there is an end in sight it is hard to stay focused and want to go to work for even one hour. But, he always has a great attitude about everything and goes with a smile on his face.
10)Ended my very successful shopping spree for spring/summer clothing. And man I did good. With the amount I had I really got lots of great things. And it payed to look, look, and look some more. I was very picky with what I bought. I found some amazing deals. Ok the place to buy great skirts that are way on sale and great quality. Ebay. So awesome I think I got one skirt that was regularly $40 for $20 and a skirt that was $79 for like $8. I also found some amazing swimming suits at Modbe on sale for $10 per top and bottom. Oh I never buy new suits cause they are so expensive. But I was able to get 2 new ones with this deal. And they are super duper cute. I got a shirt online that was regularly $21 bucks for $2. SALES ROCK. I finally am going to feel normal and cute once again after having my 2nd baby. Plus I was stoked while trying on jean shorts and capris. I had never fit into any of those sizes before. It was a miraculous feeling, even after 2 C-sections. I guess all the hard work of doing pilates daily, lifting weights, & the Zumba Wii game is working. It really is possible, and anyone can do what they put their mind too:D
*One more thing is we received a new niece, and cousin. My sister Elliah had her baby girl a few days ago. She was able to have her 1st epidural, and she had a very nice delivery, pushed once I think. Her sweet baby girl is named Kinley Paige Terry. Paige comes from my lovely Aunt Paige (Askeroth) Olsen who is so the sweetest/neatest person. We are so happy for Elliah, Jeremiah, Breya, & Nolan who get to welcome her into their lovely family. Newborns are so neat, whenever anyone has one you get that same warm/fuzzy feeling inside. Nothing beats it.

Lookie What I Found...

This past weekend we went down to Logandale, NV to move some of our stuff and pick out our carpet for our house we will be moving to in a little over a month. We didn't have much planned for the weekend. So, my mom and I got up early Saturday morning and went to many many yard sales. They started doing them in our valley there were probably about 20 going on all over town. We probably made it to about 5 or 6. But, it was so FUN to go and look and look. Trent watched the girls while we had a wonderful time. At first I got a large mirror for my exercise room, then I found some really great wooden blocks for Evelyn. Next I found a entertainment type piece of furniture but didn't want to pay $40 (tried to offer about $27 but no luck) didn't think it was worth that much so I left. The next one we went to was the motherload of all yard sales. Oh it was soo big and so awesome. Right when I pulled up I saw these gorgeous chairs. Three of them lined up in a row. I got out and basically raced to them. Asked about them, and was told $5 for each of them. At first I was only going to get 1, then I thought I wanted to get 2 to possibly photograph a couple or something. Then I found this beauty of a headboard. Isn't it sooo neat? Perfect condition and oh so neat and pretty. I had to have it how much for this? $10 was the woman's reply. I was so giddy and excited! I am glad I had Trent's truck. Pulled it around and started loading the chairs. The man who helped me load them said. Now, you know your going to take the third chair right? I asked if he wanted more for it and he said nope. We just want you to take it. Then I loaded this gorgeous headboard. The woman kept saying bless you, oh your wonderful for taking these. She was really sweet. As a photographer I am always on the lookout for props and such. All this for $20 plus a really neat quilt that went with the headboard. SCORE. I couldn't be more excited to be the new owner of them.
