1)I deserve a gold star this week. I went out on a limb, and drove me and the girls to Las Vegas by myself. Might seem weird to you cause all you other moms probably go to Vegas about once a week. Well, confession time. The first time I drove there was after Trent and I were married, so around the age 21. Trent and I drove two separate cars home from the strip. I followed him. I am mostly scared of Vegas because there are lots of creeps and I don't know the area at all. So I am not comfortable there. We were low on everything food and necessity wise. I told Trent I needed a Costco run. He said come pick me up in Henderson and I will help you do all the errands with you, then we can run to the Galleria Mall too. Too many good things to pass up. Ok, this was it, I am 27 and have a great vehicle, & gps to take me there. I said lots of prayers & left on the very windy Friday. Trent got off around noon, so I headed to Vegas, with lots of confidence. I wasn't impressed with the route the gps told me to take, kinda a weird detour. The girls were getting antzy & I couldn't wait for my hubby to join us and take over the wheel. Finally I made it to Costco, Trent got there before us & loaded up one shopping cart. We stocked up on everything, it was great. I hate going to Costco on the weekends & dodging around all the people tasting food. Then, we headed to the mall, and we all found some great sales on clothes. Trent got new shorts, the girls got some summer outfits & sandles, and I picked up some summer sandles, and tops, with one dress. We headed to Walmart, then Trent took us to show us where he has been working. It was really cool, he was telling us all about everything. Also it has such a pretty view. We ended our lovely day with the Cheesecake Factory, my most favorite place to eat. Their Herb Crusted Salmon is to die for!! We all scarfed some food, but had to get a few pieces of cheesecake because they are so good. What a great, fun, day. 2)I had to cancel 2 of my 3 classes due to me having a pretty crappy chest cold. Not fun at all, I am finally over it thank goodness. I ran myself too hard last weekend with family stuff nonstop. 3)Evelyn turned four, I can't believe it at all. But, then it seems like we have had her for longer than that too. She got a princess table set with a Princess Friends Forever game on her bday. My sisters Kylee & Kendra were still in town. So, they brought their kids to play at our house. Also my good friend Stephanie Thornton with her kids. We had fun together, Evelyn had a hard time sharing her new toys, but it was great to have them over. Later that day we went to Inside Scoop for dinner Evelyn's choice. Fun day!! Here is Evelyn at the hospital, thanks for making me a mommy. I love you so much Evelyn.
4)The rest of my week was spent trying to get over my cold, not very exciting I know.Sunday, May 27, 2012
