Poor Blog...

I have seriously really forgotten and neglected my blog...poor blog. I am trying to remember the days when I made the time to blog whole pages full of our Leavitt life.
Three kids has really been a hard adjustment for me. But, I truly am grateful for our little Hudson joining our family, even if it wasn't in my timing. We are so blessed to have our 3 kids.
Some things lately:
Hudson- He is almost crawling and wants to explore everything. The other day he fell off my bed and I felt like the worst mom in the universe, also I cried a lot. Luckily he missed our dresser and landed without hurting himself. I really don't think I could have any more love for that little dark headed boy. He is so good and so much fun to have. Champion of nursing!!
Lyla- Oh I love her when she is sweet but so much of the time right now is spent prodding her along and trying to get her to do anything I ask. It is fit throwing central around here. And she is the slowest moving human being in the world. The slowest, always right when we have to be somewhere...haha. But, she is the sweetest most thoughtful little person when it comes to others and their feelings. Yesterday Evelyn stayed home from school with a little cold and Lyla asked if she could stay home just to take care of Evelyn. She also loves to watch the show Chopped and become a chef.
Evelyn - She is my biggest and best helper with anything I need. She and I are really getting along well. Which gives me hope for Lyla and I in the future. lol Evelyn was hard as a kindergartner as well. She loves to read and spell out everything. Mom can I have a a-p-p-l-e  p-l-e-a-s-e....etc. Sometimes I just ask her to say the sentence instead of spell it out. She loves dance and so does Lyla. Shae Dalley is a fun teacher and they enjoy the syle of dance she does. It is good for them to get out and do something ya know.
Trent- Oh how I love and adore that man. He is the hardest worker to support our family and I am so grateful for the love he shows his family on a daily basis. He is also very smart and his 1967 Ford Mustang is almost completely done. Wow, I never thought I would be able to type out those words. lol
Myself- I am running around like a crazy person most of the time. Trying to take care of everyone and their needs and get everyone fed and to where they need to go. I can't believe how busy life is now. I am also swamped with photo sessions and editing. It is hard, but I also enjoy it. I am also itching to get back into Pilates and teach again which isn't what I thought I ever wanted to do again. But I love teaching and working out in a group setting. It really pushes me so much!!
We are getting our house plans drawn up right now and hope to start building in the next year. HOPE !!

Back to School

The girls are now in school which means Lyla is a big kindergartner! I was nervous that she would be scared to go but she hasn't skipped a beat. Man does that girl love it. She loves Mrs. Cameron and riding the bus, even if she is on the bus for moors than an hour.
Evelyn is a big second grader who told me "second graders don't cry about anything", when I asked her if she cried when a boy stepped on her big toenail and made her limp around for a day. Haha she loves making her lunches all by herself as well.
Hudson is one big boy now, he fits only in 6 month clothes and is getting to be one solid, chubby dude. He loves his solid food and is such a good baby boy. We love him so!!
Trent is still hard at with his Mustang, it is getting closer to really being done. He also recently certified with his teachers in scuba diving and said it was pretty cool, they went camping and diving one weekend.
I am not up to much, trying to do photography when I can. We are still hard at it with our house plans!! We were getting close to being done but our plan was getting to be so big!! So we made the decision to start over, we are sizing down a ton!! It is pretty stressful. But I know will be worth it someday!

Hudson't First ER Trip.. . And More. . .

Last night was one of the longest nights ever!! Around 7 pm Hudson started really hacking and it go so bad in the middle of the night. I was terrified!! I have never had a kid with croup before, and I really didn't know what to expect or do.
Thankfully I talked to my sister in law who is a nurse. And my mother in law came to our home at 3am to watch our other girls. And Lyla is sick too. I don't know how we ever survived without our parents sometimes. One other thing I am very sure of, I am married to the best man in the whole wide world. Who is so thoughtful and will do anything and everything for his kids and myself!!
So Trent and I put Hudson in the car and drove up to St. George, after a breathing treatment, filling a prescription, and buying a cool mist humidifier he has shown so much improvement!!
Hudson also got a hair cut and it looks adorable, helps with the huge bald spot he has on the back of his cute head.
The girls are ready for school and start Monday. I can't believe I will have 2 in school and that Lyla will be in Kindergarten!! I am excited for them to go together.
I have made the decision to be  child/newborn photographer, I have been busy with newborns and seriously love it. I feel like I can really shine with kid sessions. Love love it!!

Lately...

-We have been up to a lot lately. we finally started our house plans woohoo!! I can't wait to see how it looks drawn up.
-Hudson is getting so big he is now 2 months old. Poor little guy had to get shots yesterday and he weighs 12 pounds and has eczema and acid reflux.
-Evelyn turned seven and Trent turns 30 3 weeks ago and we had a fun joint birthday for them at the church pavilion. I was slacking on being photographing this year because of Hudson.
-Lyla is registered for kindergarten and is so excited to go. I thought I would wait to send her the whole year but then I really prayed about it and got a different answer.
-Thank goodness for my Dad I hurt my neck so bad Nursing and taking care of Hudson. he's trying to help me get back to normal but I cannot move today. laying around pick me up Hudson moving at all is so painful. I really don't know what I would do without him he is a good chiropractor.
-My parents have only one more month in their house before they move. They are short selling their house because it's too big and too expensive for them. Luckily they get to stay in their old ward and I'm the same street. But they're still sad to leave.
-I have really missed doing photo sessions and being involved in photography. I just can't find any time with Hudson. I'm not complaining though I love that little man he is so much fun and such a blessing in my life.
-Trent is so close to being done with his Mustang hallelujah woohoo yes can't wait!!

I Love Being A Photographer!!

Hudson Todd Leavitt Has Arrived!!

Well he is here!! I has taken me a while to get the birth story on here but I am determined today!! Hudson is perfect and now 3 weeks old. He came early and was perfectly healthy!
Here is what happened. The morning I was 37 weeks along, that night I woke up with some contractions, and then I got the shakes, pain in my back and down my legs and felt icky to my stomach. I tried to ignore these symptoms until I could no longer. I woke up my husband and told him I was concerned we needed to head to the hospital. He was a little skeptical at first and told me to take a bath and see if things changed!! They didn't I called my mom, then the hospital, then my mom again trying to figure out what to do. Then I called on the one who just knows, Heavenly Father and felt very strongly we needed to make the hour drive and this was it.
They checked me in and then checked my cervix and I was at a 4. I thought I maybe would be. You see my two doctors today me that if I was 37 weeks and at a 4 or more they wouldn't let me go home and would just take my baby. The nurse went and talked to my doctor, and checked me 30 minutes later and I was close to a 5. She again went to report to my doctor and came back with the words. Today you will have this baby!!
Dr. Chalmer's who helped me conceive came in to talk to me. I was happy he was on that day to do my c-section that day. He made me feel at ease with everything. I knew that everything would be ok,  Although I was starting to freak out trying to mentally prepare for another c-section, and having only 3 hours until the surgery. But, the staff and my nurse were amazing. I had good experiences when I had the girls but nothing like my experience for Hudson.
They rolled me into to the operating room and had me climb out of bed and get up on the table. I tried so hard to remain calm in all of it. They didn't strap my arms down this time, it was nice to be able to itch my nose and feel a little more free. They did a good job helping me with it all. They started the surgery at 12:00 pm and had him out by 12:10!! It was my best experience yet in the operating room yet!! When Dr. Chalmer's pulled him out he said " He came eating a sandwhich", because of his chubby cheeks, it was so funny. He had so much hair and right away the nurse layed him right beside my head which was a neat experience. Trent also cut the cord with encouragement from the nurse, but he is so happy he did it now. Since Hudson will most likely complete our little family!!
He came out perfect and healthy and I was so thankful Hudson didn't have to spend time in the NICU at all. It was such a great blessing. I had the best nurses and staff helping us out. The girls were not able to meet him in our room. Since this year has been horrible with sickness we had to show the girls Hudson through a window. They didn't get to see me at all. But, they handled it so good. They have been so wonderful welcoming their brother.
I splurged this time for my recovery and got a bellefit corset made just for c-sections. It has made my life. I have been able to walk and get my stomach down a lot faster than with the girls. So worth every penny.
I am in so in love with Hudson and he is the sweetest most handsome little boy. He looks like Lyla when he sleeps an like Evelyn and Trent when he is awake. I know I am in there somewhere too. He got my dark skin. He seems even darker than Evelyn was as a baby. I feel so lucky that Heavenly Father sent us a boy to have in our family. I really feel complete with him. Here he is in all his cuteness!!
